I have a Kodak DX4330. I have used it for years and suddenly it stopped taking pictures. It goes through the motions but is black. I have changed batteries, cards, cleared the card and the internal memory. Help!

It could be the CMOS sensor has failed, it would require a new module but the expense of it would just warrant a new camera.

SOURCE: Memory Card Requires Formatting

Hey B418,
Formatting will delete all your pictures on your camera or memory card. The camera might be prompting you to format because the the camera's memory is full. To avoid losing your pictures I would connect your camera to a computer, download your images to your computer first, and then format the memory.

Sincerely,
Allan

SOURCE: have kodak easy share...how do i transfer pictures

After inserting your memory card into the camera, you should be able to transfer the pictures from the internal memory to the memory card. Choose the option to review your pictures and hit the menu button while reviewing the pictures. Within that menu, there will be an option for memory storage. Choose internal memory. Exit the menu and re-enter it while still in the review mode. This time, select the Copy To menu option to transfer your pictures to the memory card.

Flash on EasyShare DX4330 stopped after 7 years

Most likely the capacitor or xenon flash bulb is bad. If you're a techhie of sorts, you might be able to fix it yourself, just make sure you discharge the capacitor when you open the camera up (in case it's still good, and charged). With the low prices on digital cameras today, it would probably be better to buy a new one than have it repaired, and keep this camera as a backup.

Kodak easyshare dx4330 just has black pictures.

If the pictures are black on the camera, and when you view them on the PC, the problem is with the imager of the camera. Unfortunately, it is time for a repair...

I have some exposure problems (I think) with Kodak EasyShare DX4330

There should be an option in your menu to do whats called a white balance. Whenever there is an significant change in lighting, it is usually benifital to do this so that the camera knows what color white is. If you need help with the white balance, your manual should tell you what you need to know.
