Where power light is usually green but, now red & no sound

Please describe the problem more accurately. Flashing red usually means 'stand-by' state, flashing blue/green - starting up. When (during that) do you have a sound? Are there any 'high voltage' sounds like soft screeching from the screen? Is it LCD or LED?

On that model the conv IC is usually not the solution. I believe its the blown capacitor problem with is an easy fix. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com for a repair kit.

Devices with several light emitting indicators would each display as observation of manufacturers installed features. Red indication is power cciuit indication, yelow as alternate warning where green is indication of regular fucntionality. Once the device is least malfunct, every light is an equal expectation. Usually with amplifeiers, the red light has to be on throughout until stereo became powered on to porduce green light effects as radio expectations.

The red light on amplifier relates to power supply while the green light is indication of sound functionality. An amplifier that allows sound to generate should display both red and green lights. Howeever, some amplifiers would display only green as long as the sound is functioning.

Solving the problem

First, a red light still on means the power connections to the amplifier is fucntional least requirng repairs.

Second, the green ligh should turn on once the stereo were tuned up to produce sound. If the stereo is still on only least produce sound on the amplifier, check on the connection wires between stereo to amplifier that may have disconnected due to woofing or dubbing sound generals with unfirm wiring.

mcdevito75 here, The red power light usually means the monitor is off, if when you press the red button it turns to green, or blue then the red power button means the monitor was off. Your monitor could be burned out.

The color wheel needs replacing. Thats causing the whining and it will also make the lamp light blink.

make sure the print head is moving

make sure the ink cartridge is set down right

If the power supply outputs are good! Then I would say the back light inverter is bad! If the screen stays black and does not come on.

Call Sony so they can fix it. This sounds like multiple problems. Good luck.
