Check the waste toner bottle on the left side. If that is full, you will get red light. Just empty it if is full of waste toner. Re-use the waste toner bottle.

Sounds like the developer blades for the black toner is dirty. This can be fixed two ways:

The second way is to take your existing imaging unit and open it to clean the blades that are dirty. If the only thing it does is click and the motors or LED don't come on, means that the power supply board has failed. I had it happen to me and the problem turned out to be a bad capacitor. The power supply is located behind the right panel. If you are familiar with electronics, check the capacitor and see if it is blown. If it is, replace it and it should get you going again. you should clean the roller of the printer with wet cloth, els consult with a qualified technician for technically handle.

I have had this problem and I cleaned the waste container, which is located on the left on the 4 cartridges. It collects excess dry ink and covers the led which an indication that is is full.

Just shake all the contents of it, outside the house as it is black soot that you do want on your clothes or carpet and try again.

I had to do this a few time to clear it all.

I think you just needed a little more tension on the roller that pulled the paper in.

Remove the rear access door (see manual). Off to the left near the feeder roller you will see a spring. move the spring to the END of the plastic arm that it is attached to (if it is missing you have a bigger problem). If you have moved your printer around a bit, the spring may have slipped down on to the arm and is no longer sitting at the end. This will extend the spring another 1/16 of an inch, and that is all all. Your printer should now feed a single sheet of paper with no issues.
