I have (2) VISIA XVT373SV TVs on the second floor of my home and, after a big storm during which a tree was hit by lightning about 200 yards up the street. Both sets are out. When turned on, the VISIA logo displays, but it never moves past that start up phase to display the signal. I don't even get a "No signal" message. Can't try to select different input signals either. I unplugged both sets for 30+ seconds to re-set to no avail. (I did this twice). I thought it might be the cable box, but tried one I know works on both sets and - Nothing. I have my computers on the same and monitors on the same surge protector strip as one of the sets and they are fine. They hadn't even suffered a loss of power. None of the other sets in the house are affected. I have 2 more sets on the same floor, but on the opposite end of the house. The sets downstairs were also unaffected. Any suggestions?

Check and replace the tuners. All might have been damaged due to lightning. This is a common fault occur to any TV, during lightning.

When tvs are struck by lightning most of them are beyond repairs and if successful they always give problems in the future.

I would recommend getting a surge protector and using that to protect your televisions. This usually will stop something the lightning from killing your tv's.. I have a surge protector and can still use my tv, computer, anything I have plugged in during a storm.

Hope for luck--best possible solution is the fuse in the set got popped or is now open.

Throw TV AWAY,these tvs had alot of problems without lighting hitting them,It probably played out FBT flyback transfomer CK hori out put Transistor if shorted replace FBT also.

You CAN repair it, but you probably shouldn't try.

Unless you have another PS3 or have a buddy that doesn't mind you taking his apart then it's pretty much a waste of your time.
