My Goodman unit won't cool below 78 degrees inside during this heatwave. The thermostat says

your home may not be insulated well enough or you could have leaking duct or your system may not be charged correctly ac systems are not sized to cool below 76 degrees above 90 degrees outdoors because this will increase your utility bills during the cooler temperatures. thank your governement and all the regulations we have to follow for this. they would rather you save money than be comfortable. and we are actually in violation of state law and federal law if we install a unit that will cool below 76 degrees on 90 degree outdoor temp

I have a Ruud A/C. For 4-6 hours my air conditioner blows cold air, then it it starts to blow hot air after that. Happens like this every day. What can it be

Check the indoor coil to see if it is icing up, if so clean the evap. coil filter ect. you have to have good air flow or it will freeze up. Setting the stat. to low below 72 degrees will do it as well, because your coil would be below 32 degrees. If that worked clean your condenser coil too. take a hose to it a solid stream and hose it clean, be thorough get very inch.

I have a white rodgers thermostat wall unit and i cant get the air conditioner to work properly it wont go above 32 and it says it 32 in the house but its 100 and i live three flights so you know heat ...

Your thermostat is set for Celsius and 32 in Celsius is 90 Fahrenheit. Set it to 22 degrees and that should get you to about 73 degrees Fahrenheit. The t-stat is set for Celsius or Fahrenheit on the back of the unit, there should be a small switch that reads C and F, set it for F and you are good to go.

LG LWHD1800HR window air conditioner/heater does not heat fully.

It's 115volt and is a heatpump, these units work best above 40 degrees. They only put out between 95 and 105 degree air. The colder it gets outside, the less heat ya'll are gonna get.

Temp will not set above 32 degrees but will go

You may have a thermsotat problem if you get it to cool that low it will cause the condensor to freeze and will stop it from working.

I also want my air conditioner to cool to 55 degrees F or 12 C

12 degrees celcius equals 53.6 degrees Farenheit. You can have a unit hard wired but I don't recommend it. There are limitions to a\c units, they really shouldn't run if the outside temp is below 60 degrees.

Temperature setting won't go past 32

There is probably a setting between farenheit and celcius. Is it set to Celcius? look in the owners manual to see how to change it to what you need. sorry I can't be of much more help on a window shaker.
