Offline it keeps telling me the status of the printer is offline. Sometimes it prints 1 thing, then nothing at all b/c the status is, offline. It's all plugged in, so not sure where the problem lies. Please help me out.

    My printer says that it's offline and now it isn't printing. I think there might have been too much paper in the tray. I have shut it off and turned it on. I have taken out both ink cartridges and put them back in.

    Printer prints one page then says out of paper when it is not.
    it also goes off line at the same time, and says 1 document in queue
    error deleting.

Hi, i have come across this kinda issue when i was working with HP for AIO printer Technician, just a simple troubleshooting.Try this below steps.

1.Right click on MY computer ->Properties->Hardware->Device manager.

2.You will get Device manager window popping out.

3.Scroll down to "Universal Serial BUS controllers".Click on the (+) sign.

4.Check for the "USB Composite Device" and right click on it, click Uninstall.(IMPORTANT NOTE:wE HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, TO KNOW WHETHER IS THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, RIGHT CLICK ON USB COMPOSITE DEVICE AND PROPERTIES,look for wat location says, Eg -LOCATION : HO DESKJET F300)

5.Disconnect the USB and reboot the PC.

6.Connect the USB after reboot, you will get popup "Found new hardware".Then the Drivers will be installed Automatically.

First check on the device and printer under control panel if the status of your printer is offline or ready. If it is offline check your usb cable if properly connected and if ready state then if you send print job set to offline try to reinstall the driver. hopefully it will help you.

Reason behind "offline" is communication between printer & system got interrupted,check weather printer is restarting it self ? check with another USB cable,check firm ware if low version up load it, check printer USB port on formatter is it dry solder? if no check the voltage in connector 17, between pin 1 & 20 is it 5V? if not check power supply connector J201 pin1, is it 5V? if not replace Power supply PCA.
If 5V showing between pin 1& 20 replace formatter.

Keeps showing offline even though I put in new cartridges and it cleans. When I test print, I have to do it manually and the paper comes out blank. When I check the ink status for some reason it shows...
First unplug your printer from the computer then uninstall you installed driver . After that plug it to the computer and install driver again. Then restrat your computer after successfully instalation. If still now ggive the problem then install driver from the below link and install it.

I have a Canon Pixma MX330 color printer. It gets used only occasionally, usually to print brochures and the like. I recently switched it to copy mode by pressing the "copy" button on the front; now it...
When you double click the Printer and Faxes icon in the Control Panel you will see the printer that your computer is currently using. See.... if the printer image is clear it is online and ready to use, if its blurred then its in offline mode and cannot be use.

To correct offline printer.. some possible reasons is on the usb cable.. check if there is no open wire along the cable...Inserting the USB connector on the other usb slot of the cpu sometimes work just wait first until it is read.

If the printer is still blurred and offline after checking the usb connection, the 2nd thing to do is check the properties of the printer if it is set to offline mode. how? Double click your printer icon. It will display the print jobs window. Click on the Printer tab and uncheck on the "Use printer Offline". Cancel all pending print jobs, close the printer window and try again to print.

My HP Officejet J4540 All-in-one printer is showing Offline. I have checked all connections and all appears ok. Could you tell me how to change that status to Ready?
It shows offline if the printer is not communicating. Initially open printers folder and right click the printer icon and check if "use offline" option is not ticked.if its ticked then un-tick it. if everything looks fine then:
1)first try unplugging printer from main power cord for a minute and then plug back in and check after refreshing if it becomes ready.
2)other thing to do is to remove the usb cable from behind the printer and plug back in after 45 seconds.
3)it is also quite possible that the usb port or cable might have gone faulty.in that case try replacing usb cable and check.
