You don't mention using your SOURCE button to select HDMI.You have to put your akai in the right source selection by using the source button on the remote or the source button on the right side of the TV. I hope this helps. SW

DVD works fine but. Tv say no signal

Troubleshooting Tips 1. If your HDTV or TV has multiple inputs, make sure you choose the right input your DVD player is connected to, such as Video, HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3, Component, etc. Change the INPUT or source the HDTV is set to by pressing the INPUT button on the TV or its original remote. When you try different inputs, let the DVD player play a disc and output a constant signal.
2. If your TV has the correct INPUT or Source, unplug the cable and plug it back, or try another cable or port. Sometimes cable can short-out. Be sure they are connected securely.
3. Test if your DVD player works on other TVs. It could be your DVD player breakdown that leads to No Signal on your HDTV.
4. Try connecting your DVD player to another HDTV if your DVD player works correctly.
5. Check if your DVD player is compatible with your HDTV.
6. If the TV does nt work try to upgrade your DVD.

My tv only shows 720p and i am not sure how to adjust it to 1080p ={

You have to adjust the settings on whatever is connected to your television. If you have a bluray player connected to your television with an hdmi cable you should be able to receive 1080p but you have to set the bluray player to 1080i. The tv picks up the signal automatically. From your cable box or satellite tv box you cannot get any more than 1080i from television programs at this time. You can get 1080p from bluray on demand. In certain circumstances you can get 1080p over component cables as well as an hdmi cable but in most cases you will only get 1080i. Once again you have to set your connected device to 1080 to get it on your tv

Can not get the listings for the TV Guide to load. The TV is connected to cable box and tuner with HDMI cables. When I contacted LG they stated that I need to split the cable signal prior to connecting...

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
The cable box signal is received from a round cable called coaxial cable. The guide is sent to the cable box through the coax cable. The HDMI cables sends the picture to the TV.
The Tv does not download TV guide listings , just the box does. That would be a cable company/box issue not a TV issue.
Some TVs have a built in TV guide for when you recieve signals from an antenna (not cable).
If thats what you are referring to don't bother .
Use the cable box guide .

I have a Playstation 3/blu ray player and I don't know how to get hi def video on a samsung hln467w

Your TV only has a DVI input, not an HDMI which PS3 has as an output. You can buy a HDMI to DVI adapter and connect the HDMI out of the PS3 to the DVI input of the TV. To get the true HighDef video you need a HDMI input on the TV to enjoy the full capacity of the Blu ray capabilities of the PS3. DVI came out before the HDMI standard and your picture will look good but not like HDMI. I have the same problem with my samsung 65 inch. I Bought the wrong technology. I hope this helps and good luck!

I am about to receive an LG32LF4700 Freesat/HD TV If I disconnect the SKY Box and connect the TV direct to the Dish cable will I receive Freesat HD channels. Also can I connect an extra bedroom TV into the...

Yes you can split the signal out from the back of the Freesat/HD (not the TV)to the second TV.
Look what outputs are on the Freesat box - the RF (standard cable) output should go to the 2nd TV (TV set to CH3) and the a/v cables,HDMI or DVI cable should go to the new TV - Note:To receive HD the output from the Freesat should be either HDMI,DVI or Composite output (RGB video jacks) with red White for audio. If you have HDMI this is best - it also provides audio.

HDMi ( no signal, not supported) doesn't work with Dmr-Ez47v

Any HDMI cable manufactured in the last couple of years should all be HDMI 1.1 compliant, your problem is most likely the logic board in the TV itself or the HDMI connector on the logic board has a bad connection..

Have you tried hooking-up a standard DB15 VGA cable to the AKAI TV and your laptop?

If this works your problem is in the TV and will most likely have to be repaired to receive the HDMI signal since your Panasonic DVR and your laptop are not recognized by the HDMI input on the TV.

Good luck!

32" protron tv

an output like ( HDMI ) would be on a dish reciever , and a hdmi input on a tv would plug into that output on the dish reciever
Is HDMI what you are trying to connect? then you would need an HDMI cable
HDTV = High Definition television , which means that you have a built in digital tuner that will pick up the digital and high definition broadcast channels with an antenna connected to the tv

Cannot get a connection with HDMI input

When the tv won't scroll to the HDMI inputs, it means that the tv does not detect a signal on those inputs. This either means the tv has an issue and can't receive an HDMI signal(very unlikely) or there is no signal being sent from the source(converter box) The first thing I would do is unplug all output connections from the box except for the HDMI output and see if this gets rid of your problem. If not, I would be more inclined to think you have a problem with your converter box than with your TV. You could also try using the HDMI ouput of a DVD player if you have one.

Hp-t5054 "no input devices are connected"

If you are using hdmi out from your cable box It must be turned on in the system menu. The cable box can work on a regular tv, eg. component, cable, or composite video but still not send a signal out to HDMI unless switched on in the box's menu. I see this quite often and also in some cases you have to switch the box to send digital audio out through the HDMI cable. Hope this helps.
