Printing number of copies problem

There is no driver for win 7, although if you are running on windows 7 32bit there is a work around. Download the software for windows vista 32 bit for the 2840.

The Vista drivers available on the Lexmark website do not contain the All-In-One Center. They are minimum drivers. Although the scan drivers are shipped with the web package, they cannot be used by the All-In-One Center since it is not included. Please use Windows Scanners and Cameras or Photo Gallery for Scanning.

its most prob a driver problem, thats the trouble with vista if you have installed the cd driver disk that came with it,

its most prob only for xp it will run on vista but not all features will work go to hp web page click on the drivers and software location, then put in model number of printer then next it will give you diff. windows drivers and pick the vista one that with your pc/laptop but please un-install the software you are using first the shut down and restart..

then install the new drivers etc this should sort out your problem.

could be the print heads have you contacted hp support @ 1-800-hp-invent (1-800-474-6836)

go to the control panel, open printer, then select the printer, if it is connected , and on, it must be showing dark icon, then send a test print, check it

The problem cannot BE solved. It's yet ANOTHER Vista screw-up.

"No matter what I try - every page from Jarte prints out with an UNWANTED gray

I emailed Jarte Tech support and got the following answer:
"The problem you encountered is a bug in Windows Vista. You will see the same problem when using WordPad on Windows Vista. As you have noticed, not all programs are affected by the bug. The problem is occurring because you are using a Windows color scheme that uses a gray background color for text windows. Unfortunately, the only work around is to specify white as the background color to use for text windows. Hopefully, Microsoft will correct the problem in a future Windows Vista service pack."

it is possible to set this multi-function fax/copy/printer for printing from your laptop. There is an available GDI driver from the manufacturer's website (http://www.oceusa.com) for Windows Vista 64 (exe file). Other than that it should install like any other printer.

try to reinstall the printer driver..

This suggests the the 'copy' element of the software is not VISTA compatible. In VISTA help in my computer - check out the 'compatibility' options and select an operating system that the copy function did work under
