"od" error code Maytag Neptune FAV6800Aww

You have lost signaling from the Left Hand Lid lock.

The OD code is sent out from the Console main control board when a lid open is not sensed via the signaling from the Left Hand Lid lock for three completed wash cycles.

The Control Board has not see a Washer Lid Open for 3 completed machine cycles.

""Neptune TL Washer FAV6800AWW"" you will find the Service Manual in post 5 of that sticky. I have troubleshooting support in that sticky for the FAV6800A and FAV9800A. I speak to troubleshooting the Left Hand Lid lock issues causing the OD error code as well as OP and FL.

Could be a lid magnet out of posistion or broken wire from magnetic reed relay in Left Hand Lid Lock.

If you are going to troubleshoot you need the Service Manual.

LO error code:

Locked: Lid has failed to unlock -

the machine has repeatedly tried to

unlock the lid. Push lid closed to

make sure nothing from the inside is

pressing against the lid, preventing

unlocking.

Is that the issue? Have the Lid locks failed to release and you can't open the Lid?

Or have the Lid Locks released so you can open the washer lid but the error code LO remains?

Go to the 5 post in the sticky for the Service Manual and within the Sticky I describe the issue of OP, OD, and FL error codes.

Ypu don't mention in your description but I assume your machine is throwing an OP or DO error code.


I describe how to diagnosis and repair the issue.

I think you mean OD. Place a magnet over the left Gray Bumper and see if the OD error code clears. Could be a Lid Magnet out of posistion.

I have many post on this board for troubleshooting signaling issues such as this form the Left Hand Lid Lock. This forum is not really geared up for DIY repairs. If you want some help post back and I will have you try anothe forum I post in.... That forum has a link to the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual a real must have if you are going to DIY and save some money.

See this post Left Hand Lid Lock Troubleshooting . I discuss Left Hand Lid Lock troubleshooting for error codes OD,OP FL, FO all related to Left Hand Lid Lock issues. I also provide a link to purchase a replacement Left Hand Lid Lock if you don’t want to deal with a DIY fix.
