Why when washing machine ends cycle it keeps leaking water
If water is leaking only during the times when it is supposed to be coming in , then the first places to check are at the hose connections and the hoses themselves. If it continues to leak after the water stops coming in , then you have to look at the drain connection and finally at the drum seal.
My washer is locked won't open
Will Not Unlock• Press off. The motor control is not responding if ittakes 4 minutes to unlock. The motor control iseither bad or disconnected.• Unplug and reconnect power cord. I keep getting the unbalanced
Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome to the site. Since it is spinning fine and the shocks are good, I would start checking the floor that it sits on. If it was making noises or banging while spinning, it would be the drive or spin bearing. Since it is not, that is not the case. An easy fix to this is taking some small cut wood blocks and placing them on the surface of the washer. Since you apply pressure down on the front a tad, you should try placing the blocks at the back of the washer to try to establish balance. If the suspension checks out and the spin is fine, it may be the surface it sits on. I am sure the blocks will help.
We have a Neptune FAV9800AWW. It stops at 44
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.
REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!
It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!
Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

Maytag neptune fav9800aww has error for unbalance
I had the same issue with FAV9800AWW, the Quick Spin Test showed "Machine cannot spin because the unbalance circuit is always open or out of range." Removed the Tub Displacement Sensor, disconnected the wire harness to the sensor, and found corrosion between the contacts, especially on the 12V DC pin. When I cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol and soft brush, discovered that the trace had corroded away, and so the board was not receiving the 12V DC input. Also had checked on the pins of the blue/white (signal) and pink (gnd), and was always negligible millivolt reading. The part number is Whirlpool 12002194. Ordered it from Appliance Parts Pros after reading various reviews. I found it cheaper other places, but those places got too many poor reviews for my taste.
