Hi there i have an ig2000 sinemaster which runs very well but does not produce ac power but does produce dc. service shops in my area are hard to find is there a service manual or a suggestion to test and narrow down the problem? the two leads coming from the inverter have no power. any ideas?

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
First check the F1 fuse to see if it has failed. (Item 36 of manual link below page 56) Then read across the armature at the brush holder terminals to check for less than 500 Ohms resistance across the armature. This checks the brushes and the armature. If you do not get a reading... pull the brush holer / block and check the armature by reading directly across the 2 sliprings still looking for less than 500 ohms resistance. If you have resistance then most likely there is a problem on the control board. These things are notorious for burning up a varistor on the control board. The varistor will be circular and a little smaller than a dime with 2 terminals connecting to the control board. When they fail they usually brun one contact of just completely destroy themself. Since you said you had voltage on one leg ... at this time I suspect either a problem with the brushes or the armature. You should read 5 - 11 volts DC at the brush holder with the unit running. If you do not have 5 - 11 volts DC at the brush holder... suspect a control panel problem on the circuit board (Item 4 page 58 of below link) . Make sure to check the VARISTOR on this board along with any signs of the board being very hot.
The Brush holder is in the owners manual on page 60. It is part number 180 556. (Note space in PN) Here is the owners manual with parts list:

Since you have no AC or DC output this appears to be generator field related.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

maybe your generator has a problem with the cylinder head gasket.try to remove the cylinder head gasket, grind the valves intake and exhaust it. use the gasket cement to glue the cylinder gasket then assemble it
