Check the exhaust vent, make sure it's not kinked or squished behind the machine and that the outside vent is not clogged with lint. You should feel air blowing freely to the outside.
Also make sure the exhaust vent is not over the recommended length (refer to the manual).

Let me know if you still need help.
Good luck!

Dryer won't dry have to do it twice

first check to make sure the lint basket is clean and free of lint, then lift it out and if possible reach in with a vaccum extention or tongs and see if there is a build up of lint in the front of the dryer, below the screen. that maybe blocking the flow of air, I cleaned one out for a friend, he had just started renting the apartment and the washer and dryer were there, but I do not think anyone ever checked below the basket. I am sure they were one dryer load away from a fire and he was living in a older row house. I ended up taking a have a grocery bag full of lint out of the front of the dryer, it was just packed in from years of use. but if there is not good air flow through the dryer the cloths will not dry.
2. also you can put a dry towel in the load and it will pull moisture out of the really wet clothes and they should dry quicker.
3. make sure your washer is working right and the spinner is taking all the extra water out, if they come out of the washer wetter it will take longer to dry them.
hope some of this helps K

Takes hours for a load to dry. The dryer is getting hot cloths stay damp. There really is no lint in the dryer trap what is in there is wet and close to the sides none in the middle.

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.

Dryer not drying clothes, have had a small load in for over 2 hours still wet....

Hello s cissy. If the clothes are hot but not getting dry you probably have lots of lint accummulated in the vent pipe which is stopping the wet air from escaping to the out-of-doors. To solve this pull out the dryer, unplug it and then disassemble the vent pipe from the lower back of the machine. Clean out the inside of the pipe and the interior of the machine where the pipe connects.

If the clothes never get warm to hot, then you most likely will have to replace the heating element. Get back if that is the case and we can talk you through that repair. Joe

My dryer takes hours to dry one load of clothes. Cleaned all lint from it. It's warm, not hot. Flame is on.

you need to either dismantle the venting pipe ductwork inside the dryer and get inside the duct and loosen all dried on lint which is holding moisture in,otherwise the cycling switch for the flame is cutting out tooooo sooooon and your not drying the load properly per selected load setting

Dryer does not dry

Problem is likely:

- heating element, or
- one of several thermal limit switches in the electrical circuitry
