I think it might be a problem of adapter. Some times due to heat adopter stops working. Now it is a time to buy new adapter.

Most times when this problem arises with a new machine, it's because there are packing spacers on the under side of the lid that weren't removed. Pull those off and try again. I had the same problem, but I cleaned out the hello brush bearing on the end and was able to fit the brushes back in. Apparently, enough little hairs got underneath it to push it out. This video shows you how to clean the brushes and shows you how to clean out the bearings around the 1:10 mark. Hopefully this helps.

What is you model number??? Is the hose ok and not broken where it goes into the motor? If it is then you will have to replace the hose asm.
