You have to remove the "large" nut but you need to find a way to hold the faucet. Also, you will see a retaining washer that fits on the inside of that "large" nut. If you loosen this it will release some of the tention on it and hopefull make it easier to remove. Also, try using some lime remover on the unit will might alow the retaining nut to loosen. Good luck and if you can't get it off, contact Kohler, they have an 800 number and they can give you the info you will need depending on your model.

How do I remove the plastic insert to access the cartridge on a Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet?

To remove the plastic insert on your Kohler K-171 kitchen faucet, you can follow these steps:

First, turn off the water supply to the faucet.
Next, remove the handle of the faucet by unscrewing the set screw on the underside of the handle using a hex wrench or an Allen key.
Once the handle is removed, you should see a plastic insert that covers the cartridge. To remove this insert, use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry it off.
Once the plastic insert is removed, you should be able to access the cartridge.

How do you remove the lever of a kitchen kohler clairette faucet, it seems to be stuck

On the front of the faucet handle, there is a small plastic cover with an emblem on it. Gently pry it off with a sharp knife blade. Next you will notice a small "allen" screw head. Remove it by turning it counter clockwise until it's loose. (lefty loosie - righty tighty) Lift the handle straight up to remove.

How do I open the body of K-10430 apart to replace the valve cartridge kit that's leaking

The handle has a allen set screw loosen that until the handle comes off then the bonnet nut will unscrew revealing the bonnet cap and washer the cartridge should be under that most kohler's require a special tool to remove cartridge(turn water to faucet off prior to working on faucet, also note how everything is removed it needs to be replaced in same order especially the cartridge, also you should use plumbers grease to coat all seal when replacing everything).

How does the cartridge come out of the Kohler K 14030 single handle faucet?

Turn the water off to your Kohler K-14030 faucet under the sink. Open the the faucet to make sure the water is completely shut off. Remove the small setscrew cover from the backside of the faucet handle. You should be able to remove it by hand. Insert an 1/8-inch hex wrench in through the opening and into the setscrew. Rotate the setscrew counterclockwise three full turns; you do not need to remove it. Lift the handle off the faucet. Unscrew the bonnet nut, or cover, from on top of the cartridge retaining nut; counterclockwise until removed. This nut should be remove by hand as well. Use a large adjustable wrench to unscrew the cartridge-retaining nut counterclockwise until removed. Grasp the cartridge stem with pliers and lift it out of the faucet body. You may need to gently rock it back and forth until the suction from the seal ring releases.

Misaligned lever on Kohler kitchen faucet

There are two possible things to look at.

Because you say "misaligned" and "frozen" it could be the handle is not set to the correct position.

There is a set screw holding the handle in place. It is a hex key I believe on that tap. Loosen the set screw and lift the handle off. move to the correct neutral position and set the screw.

If this does not do it and you are getting nothing but hot. The ceramic ball and washers could be stuck or broken. While the handle is off remove and inspect them. They should move freely in the socket. Replace or repair if necessary. Just take them to a plumbing store they are common parts.

Hope this helps. Please rate the answer if it helped you.
