Ft 2900r yaesu all i see on the screen is B0001 i can't see the frequency

Try powering the unit up while holding the Set/MHz button. I did that and it restored the display (and the rest of the radio's operation) back to normal.

The character codes are test-mode displays that correspond to frequencies (in MHz):

A0001-A0640 - 136.000-143.9875 in 12.5 KHz steps B0001-B0400 - 144.000-147.990 in 10.0 KHz steps
C0001-C2081 - 148.000-174.000 in 12.5 KHz steps

I haven't the foggiest idea why this isn't in the manual somewhere, or at least flipped back to normal by a two-key or three-key reset. 73, k2mct

What's your problem?yaesu 857d service manuel

Hi,

Yaesu 857D service manual, right?

Are you looking for a downloadable copy or making one available?

If you are looking for a downloadable copy, say so, otherwise as you can tell, we're just guessing, which doesn't help anyone.

If you're making one available for other to download, then I would like to buy you a drink, because this would be so appreciated by yours truly and others with that same said model.

So, which one of the above is it, let us know and we'll respond ASAP.

Cheers,
Peter

Yaesu FT-726R repair shop?

Hi,

The cheapest way to repair your Yaesu, is to find a friend who is an amateur radio operator, these people know radios, and work on radios as a matter of course as their hobby, otherwise it's off to a radio workshop you go, and be prepared to part with some cash.

There are no freebies with quality branded radios, only cheapies, if you know the right people.

I hope this answers your query, and by the way, I'm in Australia, you never mentioned your location.

Cheers,
Peter
