Use SanDisk MP3 Players
SanDisk is an electronic device manufacturer that creates
various types of MP3 players under the SanDisk Sansa product line.
The SanDisk MP3 players range in storage capacity, starting
at 512mb, and are intended to operate on the Windows operating system.
Most SanDisk MP3 players also include a built-in video
player with a color screen, an FM radio tuner, and a memory flash card slot to
expand the MP3 player's storage capacity.
Use SanDisk MP3 players to take your computer's MP3 library
with you and listen to music wherever you go.
1. Verify that your computer meets the operating specifications required to
sync the SanDisk MP3 player with the PC.
All SanDisk MP3 players require Windows XP or later; Windows
Media Player; and a USB 1.0 port. A USB 2.0 is important if you want high-speed
music syncing.
2, Check that the SanDisk MP3 player has a full battery
charge.
All SanDisk MP3 players have a rechargeable lithium ion
battery, and some SanDisk devices have a replaceable battery.
The battery icon on the top right-hand side of the SanDisk
MP3 player's screen displays the current status of the battery's charge.
If the battery is low, recharge it before using the SanDisk
player for the first time.
To charge, connect the player to your computer's powered USB
port using the included USB cable.
The SanDisk player's screen will display a yellow charging
icon.
Unplug when charging is complete.
3. To turn on the SanDisk MP3 player for the first time,
unlock the "hold" switch on the top of the MP3 player by sliding it
so that the orange tab does not appear.
Then, press the "power button" once.
Wait for the SanDisk MP3 player to respond.
The thumbweel of the player will flash a light and the
screen will turn on to display the player's menu options.
Turn off the SanDisk player by holding down the player's
power button for two seconds.
Wait for the screen to display "Goodbye" before
releasing the button.
4. Practice resetting the SanDisk MP3 player to solve
critical software errors and to fix the MP3 player if it freezes.
To reset the player, hold down the power button for fifteen
seconds.
This resets the MP3 player to its original factory settings
and can help resolve any problems you encounter while using the SanDisk MP3 player.
5. Connect the SanDisk MP3 player to your computer using the
included USB cable.
Once the computer has sensed the connected device, the
SanDisk player's screen will display "Connected" and the SanDisk
Portable Media Player will be listed under Other in your computer's My Computer
window.
6. Add music to the SanDisk MP3 player.
Double-click the Portable Media Player listed in the My
Computer window.
Double-click the Music folder.
Select the MP3 files that you wish to load onto the MP3
player and drag them into the Music folder.
The player will load them into its internal memory and make
them available for playback once the device is disconnected from the computer.
7. Sync your MP3 song playlists from Windows Media Player to
the SanDisk MP3 player.
Create a playlist in Windows Media Player and connect the
SanDisk MP3 player to your computer (see Step 5).
Once its connected, Windows will display a dialog box. In
the box, click "Sync digital media files to this device."
In the next window, click Set Up Sync. In the menu, click
Personal Playlists and then select the playlists that you wish to transfer to
the SanDisk player.
Click the Add button then push the Finish button to transfer
your Windows Media Player playlists to the MP3 player.
The best way to put music on your mp3 player is to download windows media player 10 or 11. Then download and drag your music into the library. Click on the sync tab. Add the files you want onto your device into the sync playlist area. Then click start sync.
try this... open up a windows with the music you want on the mp3 player, then open a windows with your mp3 player, it should be listed under my computer\your mp3 player\internal storage\music and then just drag and drop your music over to the music folder on your mp3, and please note that might not be the exact location of yours im just using mine as an example, also when you connect it if it asks what you want to do with this, click on open and there you go
Find the song in my computer under my music, Right click on the song file and hit open with... windows media player. File should convert and store on wmp. Then you should be able to sync your player.
If the player keeps freezing while plugged into the computer, you may need to Format the player in Windows Media Player 11 after performing the firmware upgrade. This will erase all of your songs off the player, so you will have to reload them. But your player will work fine after that.
Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything. -Tha Mp3 Doctor
No You Don't Have To Converter The Tracks. It Depends On How You Put The Tracks On Your Sansa, Do You Drag And Drop Or Do You Sync With Copy To Device In Windows Media Player 9, Or Sync In Windows Media Player
If you plug in the mp3 player then goto device manger via the control panel (hardware and sound) it will show up there as an uninstalled item. Righ click on it and select update driver and hopefully vista will search and find the apropiate driver for it.
Alternatively try the manufactures website for vista drivers.
Unfortunately not all hardware products are vista compatable yet :(
