Have you checked the foot switch? Is there a transformer in the line?
Is the plug making contact, in both the wall and at the side of the machine? Is the foot pedal getting hot when plugged in? You will need a voltimeter/ohmeter to check this out.
unplug the foot controller to eliminate it as the problem ,however if the machine does not run like mad as soon as you switch it on
without the foot pedal then you have isolated the problem to the foot pedal,it could be stuck on full speed .
make sure the plug for the foot pedal is connected securely to the machine.
could be the plug in the machine has a problem even tho the foot petal is plugged in
could be the foot petal has gone out and needs to be checked.
the plug to the machine could have a problem or the or the plug to the foot pedal could be faulty or the foot pedal itself may need to be replaced. the machine should be checked to see what is wrong.
Hi, If foot pedal alows you to control the speed of the machine. They do go bad occasionally. If your machine motor plugs into the foot pedal unplug it and try it in a wall outlet if able. This will tel you if the machine motor is good or bad. Plug a lamp with a regular bulb(incandesent not flourescent) into the foot pedal. As you press the pedal the bulb should get brighter. This will tell you if the pedal control is good. Be sure the lamp is in the on position
