Have you setted up in the printer driver to print on label? the printer will automatically adjust the internal parts for printing on a higher density paper!
If you done it gently remove the Duplexer unit from the behind of the printer and chech for pieces of paper or everything could cause the paper jam!
Hope you found it useful, for futher questions i'm here :)
Sears is your friend here. They often have blow-up diagrams of how these units work. Just find your model number and look at the parts diagram if you can find it. 9/10 Sears has given me the answer through their online manuals.
I found that one of the papers i was trying to print was set for double sided printing, well i don't have the duplex part of it. So I kept getting the error. You have to cancel all the print jobs thru the buttons on the printer. Doing it in your computer did not help and turning off the printer did not help me. So after I cancelled all docs from printing and turned off double sided printing it was fixed.
this will be an issue with the duplex rollers check where it is jamming is it in the duplex unit if yes then check the duplex rollers for wear worn rollers will cause scews also check there is no torn pieces of paper stuck in the guides of the duplex
a good thing to do is to get a thin piece of card stock slide it into the duplex manually and frred it where the paper path goes on the duplex from beginning to end and it will push out any thing in the path
I have not used that specific printer, but from all I can determine, it is not a duplex printer. However hp offers these suggestions on how to determing if your printer is duplex:
<br />
"To find out if your printer supports duplex printing, refer to your printer manual or look for the <b>Two-sided (Duplex printing)</b> or <b>Print on both sides</b> drop-down menu in the <b>Printer Properties</b> dialog box on your PC (sometimes found in the <b>Printer Shortcuts</b> tab).<br />
If you can
Yes, this printer has a duplex option. It is an assembly that mounts under the printer.
However, given the age of the printer, you may not be able to purchase one.
Check the Lexmark website, www.lexmark.com and see if you can purchase the option there. Next best solution is to call the Lexmark Parts Center and see if you can purchase the complete assembly.
its a piece from the back of the paper feeder .how do i get the tray out? ty
