Replace ceramic glass top maytag eletric range

Can anyone please give me the serial number and product number to a 6 year old Maytag Performa glass top stove?? I just broke the ceramic top and need to replace it but don't have a serial number.

I have a Maytag Performa Ceramic stove top which I have "washed" the serial number, I broke the glass top and need to replace it, but I don't have the model/serial number. If anyone has one please give me the numbers. Thank you

Hello, the top for your slide in would cost your $285.25 . First turn power off to the machine or unplug. To change the top you would open the oven door then remove the screws in the top near the door latch. You will have 3 or 4 screws one on the left the right and one or two in the middle section. The glass will then lift from the front and you will notice the surface elements will raise with the glass. You will have to remove the screws that hold the brackets and they you can just sit them down. Be carefull not to unplug any of the wires on the elements, and be carefull of the insulation. It will really cause skin rash. Once you have removed the elements you can lift the glass away and install the new one. I do have one new one available at my store. ITS A LITTLE TRICKY, WHEN YOU GET YOUR NEW ONE LAY DOWN A OLD BLANKET PUT YOUR NEW ONE UPSIDEDOWN ON IT DISCONECT POWER THEN REMOVE YOUR OLD ONE .OPEN THE OVEN DOOR THERE IS 2 OR 3 SCREWS ON THE TOP OPENING HOLDING IT DOWN REMOVE THEM AND SLOWLY LIFT TOP UP AND SLOWLY PULL FORWARD. YOU WILL SEE A CONNECTOR TO DISCONECT ALL THE WIRES THEN LAY COOKTOP UPSIDEDOWN NEXT TO THE NEW ONE. SLOLY REMOVE SCREWS THAT HOLD BURNERS ON BRAKETS. I MARK THE HOLES ON THE BURNERS WITH A SHARPY

are u sure u want to replace the ceramic glass top,much beter to check the price of the unit, coz it is very expensive almost halt the price of the new one...dont try to replace it by ur self coz the glass cover is no waranty if u broke or wrong intallation,u waste ur money if hapen that,much beter to canvas first & call an expert tecnician to do it.

just typ in your model number, and find the part you want on the diagram. you can purchase it through them, too.

You can replace the failed component which is either the burner or the switch that controls the burner. A voltage test would have to be done to determine which compoonent has failed. Generaally it is worthwhile to repair the range.

u have to replace the whole top and its about 400 to 500 dollars just for the part cheaper to buy new

yes its not too difficult check your owners manuel as most ceramic cook tops are under extended warrenties from 5-10 years
