What kind of cables are you using? What are the colors of the cables?
Have you tried your friends AV cables?
How many more discs experiences this?

By doing the cheat again......

You need to move all of the gears (three in total I think) in order to release the Kraken. Then you have to make your way back to the top and shoot the two retaining chains that hold the object above the Kraken's head. It will drop and strike the creature sending it to the bottom of the water. Then finally, at the bottom of the room there is a final gear-crank that opens the door to allow you to pass.

you have provided so less details. are you playing on PS2 or PS3??
If its ps2, most probably ur lens has gone bad.
cant say about the ps3 though.

You might need to update you version of DirectX by going to the microsoft site, or make sure that the 3D accelleration is enable in DXDIAG.
If using XP go to Start>Run (on the right hand side) and type in dxdiag then press enter. When the program opens click on the display tab and check that the 3D accellarator is enabled. Also carry out the tests within the display tab to make sure that there are no other errors. Check the game for the version of DX that it need against the version that you have, your version will be displayed when the dxdiag program opens. I hope this helps
