thank you! I bought a great affordable polaroid tv on ebay but couldn't get any channels, all the screen would say is No Signal. So I went out and bought an antennae. After hooking up the antennae I was able to get a continuous Judge Judy type station, a jewellry selling station and a country western music station. Finally, after searching for the manual, I found your posting, followed the directions for how to scan and voila, have more stations than with my old tv. Thank you thank you!

My viore tv Scans Ruf channels but won't scan digital channels. Power went off it lost all over the air channels

If your Viore TV is unable to scan digital channels after a power outage, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue:
  1. Check the TV's antenna connection: Make sure that the antenna is securely connected to the TV and that there is no damage to the cable.
  2. Rescan for channels: Go to the TV's menu and select "Auto Tuning" or "Channel Scan" to rescan for channels. Make sure to select the option for digital channels only.
  3. Check for software updates: Make sure that your TV has the latest software updates. Go to the TV's menu and check for any available updates.
  4. Perform a factory reset: A factory reset will restore your TV to its original settings. This can sometimes fix issues with channel scanning. Consult the manufacturer's manual for instruction.
  5. Check your TV's location: Make sure that your TV is in a location where it can receive a good signal. Try moving the TV or the antenna to a different location.
If none of these steps work, it's possible that the TV's tuner may be malfunctioning and may need to be repaired or replaced. Contact the manufacturer's customer service or a professional technician for further assistance.

Why does my tv continually drop antenna tv channels. I have to rescan tv several times a day

Assuming that we talking about digital channel could be couple reasons. First- too small antenna or in wrong location. Usually at evening, night hours there is less interference from cars, running electrical equipment etc reception is better. Far away stations reception is also better at night. Trees, houses etc also affect reception. If you in USA you can use site: antennaweb.org to determine correct antenna and direction to receive channels in your location.

These answers do not fit my question. One day, on three different sets in my home, where I have received NBC for years just quit working. Did NBC quit broadcasting? It is not snowy, etc, it is just no

Ok This is what I found out and hopefully found your solution..
Have you heard of Double Rescan?
The Federal Communication Comission Designed a Process called double rescan.
Double Rescanning erases and thenreprograms the channels in the converter box an digital TVs memory.
To Double Rescan, you will first need to disconnect the antenna from the converter box or antenna.
Then disconnect the converter and or digital tv power supplies from the wall. Wait a minute before plugging them back in. The antenna should still be disconnected.
With the antenna disconnected run the channel scan function on the coverter box or digital tv. When the scan completes you will have completely removed any channel data the converter box or digital tv, had in its memory.
Now it's time to rescan for real.
Do this by reconnecting the antenna to the converter box or digital tv and running the channel scan function again.
Thus the double rescan is born.
If the double rescan doesn't work, then try some tips and tricks to get your converter box up and running..I will have to look up the url again that has the tips and tricks...
If the double rescan doesn't work let me know and I will look up more options..
I really hope this works..

I have a rf modulator i dont no where any thing goes i tryed i just dont understand it i just brought a dvd and vhs to gether

alot of DVD/VHS combos have a built in RF modulator. Look for a coax (screw threads) output on the unit and it should be labeld either DVD/VHS OUT or just VHS OUT. If it does not have a combo out then you will need to use the seperate RF modulator.

Your combo unit should have a set of yellow red and white jacks that are labeled DVD & VHS OUT. Connect these yellow red and white to the yellow red and white on your RF modulator, then connect the coax (screw threads) out on the RF modulator to the coax jack on the back of your TV. There is also typically a swich for channel 3 or 4 on the RF Modulator, make sure you TV is on which ever channel you have that switch set to. If your RF modulator has a power light on it, it will usually not come on until your DVD/VHS is sending a signal through it and it is connected properly.

If you have an antenna or cable box, your RF moudulator should have an Antenna or Cable input jack on it that you can use.

Sharp digital tv cannot receive digital signal

This television would benefit from an hdtv indoor outdoor amplified antenna not obstructed by trees, aluminum, bricks, and etc. Make sure the signal type is air and not cable and complete a channel scan during primetime tv hours after connecting to this antenna. Buy a large one that you can mount to the wall usually in a large flat box on the shelf in the store. Philips has one sold at Walmart.

My viewsonic N3751w LCD TV won't receive air signal. It has a built-in digital tunner so it should be able to receive several air signal without a need to have a digital to analog converter

Check that your antenna is sufficient for your location and oriented correctly. Try antennaweb.org for the most likely channels; tvfool.com has a much greater list of channels and the antennas needed to receive them. Both sites assume external antennas and warn that trees and buildings around your location may cause interference.

If you have a splitter connecting one antenna to several TVs, consider using an amplifier to ensure that the TV gets sufficient signal strength. Remember digital TV is has all-or-nothing reception issues.

If you previously could pick up the stations with this TV and suddenly lost them, try resetting your TV. Unplug the unit for at least 10 seconds. Also restore the factory default settings and then rescan for all channels. The reset is possibly Menu, Options, Restore Default or Menu, Setup, Memory Recall. (Viewsonic has changed its menus at intervals so look for something similar). Once you find it, click enter then left or right arrow to YES, hit enter again. Then hit menu twice to exit the OSD menu and then re-enter the menus before trying to rescan channels.

Also check that the TV is looking for OTA and not cable signals. Check that the tuner is still working by retrying the scan in a spot you know that the antenna captures a stations signal. Make sure your antenna cable hasn't been damaged by anything.

If you recently had a power surge (lightning strike) near the antenna or cable, you may be in need of a new tuner. (BTDT with an older TV)

I hope this helps.

I can't seem to get any digital channels

Before scanning for channel, check to see if the Antenna input is set to Cable or Antenna. If you have rabbit ears or and outside antenna then set it to antenna. If you have cable then set it to cable. Then rescan for channels. If this has already been set then the next step is to check the antenna or cable feed. If possible plug the antenna or cable feed into another TV that is known to be working correctly. If it is capable of receiving digital channels then the problem is likely the Samsungs ATSC tuner and will require service.
If neither TV is getting Digital channels then I will need more info on your antenna setup and where you are located. I am a pro on TV antennas and reception.
Hope this helps
