Vapor lock can affect any kind of engine during normal operation where the outside ambient temperature remains high, or the fuel system becomes overheated because of high engine temperatures or lack of insulation. Fuels that have high volatility can also cause vapor lock. When fuel boils inside a metal line or carburetor, it vaporizes, which causes a halt of the fuel delivery. This condition can cause an engine to stall or refuse to restart, even with a perfectly running engine. Preventing vapor lock requires some observation of the existing fuel delivery system, along with some modifications.

What causes ignition modules to go bad in 1991 delta 88

Generally the cause of an electrical component to fail is high heat or extreme voltage load.
Is the coil pack and module getting too hot from the heat of the engine ?
Is it shorting out because of oil or wet surfaces ?
Could you be loosing voltage to the module from the key switch ?
Are you loosing ground signals from the computer ?

My car will start up and run for a good 10 to 20 minutes but then just shut off. After I waiting about another 10 to 20 minutes it will start up again. My lights still stay on when it dies so I am not...

Sounds like you are losing fuel pressure or the ignition module is shutting down when it gets hot. Check for spark when the car is in the no start condition. If spark is ok then install a fuel pressure tester and let car run. When it dies the pressure should be less than 15 psi. You may need a mechanic for this. Best possibility is that you will need a new fuel pump or ignition module.
