XP Drivers for Sony Vaio VGN-fw230j/b

I Hate Windows Vista!!! Need desperately to reformat and install Windows XP, but can`t find the drivers... Help, anybody!?!?

It's probably not supported Sony.

You can try and downgrade but you might lose some functionality. I downgraded my Vista Gateway laptop to XP but had to spend a lot of time tracking down drivers that would work correctly.

You won't be able to just pop in an XP cd and install. You'll have to jump through a few hoops.

Since you have a newer laptop your hard drive uses sata drivers which the XP cd doesn't have built-in.

    Yeah that's probably a good idea. I used to really hate Vista but with the right computer and a BUNCH of stuff turned off, it's really not that bad.

    You should give Ubuntu a shot. I switched over from XP to it because my laptop wasn't supported either. I really, REALLY like it.

I have a vaio laptop which on its screen has been written VGN-N250E and on the back of laptop computer model is PCG-7X1L. It seems that my laptop model is VGN-N250E. I couldn't install matlab 2006a on...

This means that all the "vista compatible drivers" should work on win7 without any problems.

Have vaio VGN-S460, window 7. Can't get internet
Windows 7 is still a beta and Sony probably doesn't make drivers yet for the network adapter on that computer. You might be able to install the windows vista or xp drivers and that may work. You might have to manually install these drivers, however.

if so go to:

All the drivers for XP as well as Vista Home Premium are there.
