If you have working sound, then go to:In Win 7 - Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Manage Audio Device> Sound > Microphone >Properties > Level. Make sure the microphone is not muted as well.

try to install driver using add new hardware it will work

Try unplugging your wireless router or unplug your modem for about a min and plug it back in

This may cause by an electrical charge in the motherboard itself,Im not really sure how it affects the display of the computer.There's also a possibility that the problem is with the LCD cable or the LCD itself. Please follow this method since it usually fix such problem like that,


1.Removed the battery then unplugged the AC adapter


2.Press and hold the power button or the ON/OFF button for at least 30 seconds


3.Connect the power supply back to your computer then turn it back on.


4. Check if you will see any difference.


5. If nothing happens, try to press and hold Fn and F2 on the keyboard.


If nothing happens, there is a possibility that the problem is with the LCD or monitor itself, maybe it will need a replacement...

I cleaned mine the other week by just a very hard blow into the slot. Hold you nose though or you'll get dust up it. If you take the base off then a very soft brush (such as makeup type) would be fine for dusting it off. Make sure you are earthed properly though.

We cannot even suspect that it is a hardware issue beacuse you can get it into safe mode however you are not able to enter the BIOS.

Which is the operating system in your computer?
Since when are you facing this particular issue?
Did you make any hardware or software changes after which this happend?

I checked the information and found that the computer does not qualify for a Windows 7 Upgrade from Sony. But as we have tried, Windows Vista drivers work with Windows 7 as the core for both the OS is same. I suggest that you download install Memory Card driver for Windows Vista from the below link to resolve the issue with the SD Card. I have also provided the link to download Sony Shared Library which you should install first.
