Icemaker and Water Dispenser won't dispense either....
I have a RS22AQXMQ00 Roper(Whirlpool) fridge/freezer. The icemaker and water dispenser won't put out. I checked the lines, which are clear. If I disconnect the main water line from the refrigerator, water will come out of the line. I checked the filter and all was well. Could it be the pump or something similar and costly?
Did both the water and ice maker quit work at the same time? You seem to have checked most everything. It would be odd....the pump or in our trade referred to as a water inlet valve go bad. There are two individual coils and work independently....How familiar are you with electricity.....Do you have a voltage meter and know how to use it?

Do as the guy above suggested? This more than likely is the problem. It is not expensive to replace. The question is, can you do it? If you can check to see if the valves are bad, buy new ones and try to do it yourself. If you are uncomfortable, then get a tech or a friend to help you. At least your frig is still working.

They are usually located behind the compressor compartment panel. remove the panel and follow the water line you should see the water valve. If there is a water filter in your unit these can plug up ,and cause no water to enter the icemaker. I alo have had bad icemakers.
If your refrigerator leaks water, you have a problem with either a water line or a drain line. If your refrigerator has an automatic icemaker or a water dispenser, the water supply line could be broken. Automatic icemakers have a drain line that runs down to the drain pan beneath the fridge. Mold build-up inside the drain line can lead to a rupture that allows water to escape .A broken drain line can also lead to water leaking from your refrigerator.
If there is frozen ice in the icemaker tray then the heater element to slightly warm the tray for ice ejection is not working. If there is nada in the icemaker tray then water is not getting to unit - check water solenoid or the water line going to unit.
Hollow cubes are caused by not having enough water in the ice mold. Fill it up manually by pouring water in it and see how the cubes turn out. look for an adjustment behind the plastic
endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water. + is more water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then
try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell
you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
There is a screen filter before the water inlet valve in the water line. It can get partially stopped up with sediment blocking water flow.
The waterinlet valve on the back of the unit where the
water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and
block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to
see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill
tube.
The valve can leak because of sediment in the water
preventing it from closing or low water pressure.
You can thaw out the fill tube and replace the inlet valves.
I have a LG GRP207TUJA side by side freezer, which has a water, ice, crushed ice dispenser. There is a button to select which mode of dispenser. The freezer just appears to be cycling through all the selections all by itself and make the bleeping noise as it moves from one selection to another...any ideas
probably have to replace the icemaker take it out and look at the mold and see if you have some teflon coating that has come of and or some water deposit buildup under im on heater on bottom of icemaker. this causes it to let the water drip down on the back of im an causes iceblock in the dispenser bucker. you can order an icemaker 1- 877-262-1479
frist check the freezer thermostat and make sure that it's set to at least 5 or 6. if that is okay and you still have this problem, you may need to have the thermostat replaced and maybe more.
as far as the icemaker, if it's just the ice part that does not work, i would recommend checking the valve and water line coming into the icemaker.
can you tell me if this is a side by side or a top or bottom mount freezer? if you have the model #, that would be great.
