How to reset sandisk sansa m230 512mb player to factory settings

Hello,

For resetting Sansa e250 to factory settings:
Start from Main Menu.
Next select:
Settings (image of an equalizer)
Reset All
Yes

Having problems reading the language first choose yours, select:
Settings (image of an equalizer)
Language is the 5th option after Settings
Change the language to the language you prefer

settings > System Settings > Reset Factory Settings > Yes
Language : English
Region : Rest of World
settings > System Settings > Volume > High

Go to Settings, Reset All

When you are able to go through the player's menu you can select reset factory settings. Starting from the Main Menu select:
1. Settings menu
2. System settings
3. Reset factory settings
4. Yes (to confirm the selection)

SanDisk logo appears when stated then screen goes to grey and black. All appears to be frozen.

Follow the steps on this page of the "knowledgebase" containing key words "factory settings" to the Sansa Connect Recovery Tool:

Remember: firmware install will erase all data from the player !

Go into the settings and scroll down to reset all, push center button, scroll to yes, push center this will restore factory settings.....

You will have to fly blind a bit, but remember that the Spanish word for language is "idioma" and the Spanish word for English is "Ingles" - Here is a link to the user manual that will help you - Sansa does have a Spanish version of the manual if you want to compare. Eventually, you want to find this menu/setting:
Reset All
This will reset the player to its original factory settings.
1. Press Menu to return to the Main Menu.
2. Move to Reset All and select it.
3. Select Save to reset to factory settings or Cancel to stop.
