You need to install the driver of your printer that works with the operating system of your northgate computer. The driver is in the CD/DVD that came with your printer.
After installing everything, you can add RadarSync to your computer to optimize your computer's driver (eg. keeping them updated to avoid from some problems, and running automatic updates so that you can avoid from the headaches of doing the updates manually).
1) Make sure your ink levels are good. Are you using original HP ink? Do not use refills.
2) Use a higher resolution when you go to print. (Click on Preferences to change the resolution. Look for Print Quality and select a minimum of 1200 DPI.)
You have an HP printer. I highly recommend you use HP photo paper for the best results. This may not solve your jamming problem but it may. HP printers are very touchy as to what photo paper you use.
Two different systems that is why, each one has different resolutions than the other. The HP Photo Smart 35 is a USB printer. Your computer has USB ports. You can utilize an open USB port on your computer to connect the printer. What is a CS100-818035 plug?
The 7550 takes three cartridges 56(black) 57(tri-color) and 58 (photo).
If you replace the 57 but the 58 is also empty and still in its slot - you get green tinted photos.
So, check to see if you have the 58 photo cartridge still installed, and if it is out of ink. If so - remove the 58 - the printer will then default to "reserve mode" and you'll get better color.
