The best way to get rid of stubborn software is to boot into safe mode and then uninstall it.  This way it is not being used and can be uninstalled.  Reboot your computer and after the beep starting hitting F8.  When a boot menu appears, select Safe Mode (no networking).  Once the system boots up, it may look a bit different.  Go to Add/Remove Software and remove all Norton products.  When it is done, reboot normally and you should be good to go.

Have yougone to add remove programs toremove norton? it should allow you to take it off that way. you might try it and see if that helps or not. if you had reboot disks you could restart the whole system and start it over again.

T3624 MB someone pulled off the 3 wire pairs to the front bezel. What's the pin out for the 2 leds & power on??

According to the internet, your computer has an Intel 845GV chipset motherboard. Intel tends to use a generic pattern for connecting the front panel connectors. A description can be found on intel's site.
If this doesn't solve your problem, comment back with the motherboard model number. Look on the board, it should be printed somewhere, and it should start with D845GV...something something...
