Lexmark s301 printer will not install on windows 8

Try downloading the driver from the Lexmark WEB site.
If you cannot find a Windows 8 printer driver for your model Lexmark printer then try the Windows 7 printer driver, it may work.

Try scanning from Lexmark Printer Home. To do that, on your computer, click on Start > All Programs > Lexmark > Lexmark Printer Home.

Sadly Lexmark have not produced Windows 8 drivers for the Z25. In all honesty they do not list any Vista/Windows 7 drivers either. Generic windows drivers may do the trick, so I would advise running Windows Update (or the Windows 8 equivilant) to make sure they are completely uptodate.

To install the Lexmark Pro205 All in One Printer on the Windows 8 Operating System, download and install the Windows 7 driver available on the website, Lexmark.com.

Try using the Lexmark Printer Home software to scan. To access that, on your computer, click on Start > All Programs > Lexmark > Lexmark Printer Home.

Also, make sure that the Wifi light on the printer is green. If not, follow the installation and connect the printer to your network.
