Unit pix intermittently and for no apparent reason will go into shutdown mode for seconds to a few minutes and then return to normal operation. I'm old TV guy but not very familiar with the LCDs. Tapping on unit and indiviual boards and pulling on cables does not duplicate problem.

Yes the board can be replaced, but you may also need to do some touchup alighnment to the convergence, and maybe need to reprogram the magic focus or whatever the ato convergence is called on your set, if it has that feature, Good Luck

Sounds like something is binding. Take a flashlight and look closely and be cautious that you don't damage anything
1 Press MENU to select SETUP.
2 Press or > to select the CLOCK mode.
3 Turn the Rotary encoder to adjust the hours.
4 When the hour has been adjusted, press the
Rotary encoder.
5 Turn the Rotary encoder to adjust the minutes.
6 When the minute has been adjusted, press the
Rotary encoder.
7 When the setting has been completed, press
MENU to select RETURN.
The unit returns to normal mode.
Pressing and holding MENU for at least 2 seconds will
return to normal mode.
