Piece poped out of inside of the Kodak EasyShare printerdock 6000

My Kodak Easyshare printer dock 6000 was dropped and a around 6" long by 1/2" wide black piece of plastic fell out. I think it has something to do with the closing and securing of the top where all the wiring is located. I contracted Kodak about a diagram or photo showing me the inside workings of this unit so I could see where it came out. They did not have any diagram or photo showing the inside workings available. They told me to take it somewhere to have it repaired. Can anyone tell me where to find a photo or diagram of the inside of this unit so I determine how to replace this plastic piece.

I took my Kodak printer dock to Best Buy (where it came from 4 years ago) and they popped the black plasitc piece back in for me in two minutes. My unit works fine now.

Easyshare dock 6000, won't pick up paper and if hand fed, still messes up!?

Maybe your rollers inside the printer that feed the paper in, are not functioning the way they should. This could just simple to fix, or could mean you having to purchase a new printer.

Not sure how you would fix this.

Hope this helps!

Easyshare printer dock seris 3

TRY THIS
UNPLUG POWER CORD/USB TO COMPUTER IN BACK OF DOCK.TAKE OUT PAPER TRAY.
LIFT DOCK (LOOK INSIDE (DEEP INSIDE AND SEE IF YOU SEE THE CARTRIDGE FILM ON A STEEL ROLLER,WRAPPED AROUND IT.)A FLASHLIGHT MIGHT HELP IN THAT STEP).
IF CARTRIDGE IS WRAPPED AROUND TAKE TO SERVICE PROVIDER(I TRIED TO FIX IT LIKE THAT AND IT WAS A HASSEL)
IF NOT WRAPPED AROUND GO TO CARTRIDGE OPEN DOOR/LIFTGREEN TAB UP.SHOULD EJECT(IF NOT TRY A BUTTER KNIFE AND PRY UNDER SLIVER DOT)NOT HARD BUT WITH ALITTLE FORCE SHOULD POP OUT.
REMEMBER TO LIFT GREEN TAB WHILE PRYING.
IF STILL STUCK MAY BE STUCK IN PRINT MODE
THATS BEYOND ME. GOOD LUCK.

Connection

the jack that is affixed to the board has already been damaged beyond repair, which means that if it were ripped out the odds of micro soldering those connections are not likely, (I've tried similar on cell phones they us a chemical soldering method and precision heating to make the connection, bet bet is to find a camera connection for the camera and transfer pics to the cam to print on the dock. Good Luck
