2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Manual Transmission Trouble

I have a '07 Dodge Ram Hemi 5.7 Litre 4x4 Quad cab with a 6 speed manual transmission. I have had trouble getting the truck in reverse, 1st and 2nd gear since I bought it used in July 2011. I had the clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing replaced today after the throwout bearing broke. Now, it is even more difficult to get in these gears. Any ideas?

Check if you can change 1st &2nd gear with the engine stopped if you can do this easy the clutch is the fault, free play may need adjustment . If still hard fault is in the gear box.

Take it back

Did you not test it out--- before paying
& driving off?

Maybe the trans has some internal wear,
from the previous owners habits

It is still at the mechanic, he says it may be the "shift linkage?" and is going to check and see if it is worn.

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 4x4. What fuse runs the 4x4 please?

It isn't specified. There is more than one fuse that covers transmission. You would need an auto electrician or a transmission expert to connect a pro grade scan tool computer and diagnose if the switch or solenoid is faulty. A scan tool at this level is bi-directional and can command solenoids to operate and confirm that they do.

The problem may be related to technical service bulletin TSB 03-001-07 which involves replacing the front axle actuator disconnect and a software update. You should be able to Google the TSB and look at the build date listed in the bulletin to determine if it applies to your vehicle.
