How to set up password for my bufallo air station broadband router

Please connect the laptop to the linksys router with the cable provided. On the linksys, connect the able in any port from 1-4. Please do not connect the laptop to the Internet port.

From the start menu, select Run. Type in cmd and press enter. At the prompt, type in ipconfig. On the line that says Default Gateway -> this is the address of the router when connected to the computer and (DHCP being on).

Make a note of the Default Gateway and type it in the address bar in an Internet Explorer window. At the login prompt, leave the username prompt blank and type admin for password.

This will allow you to access the web GUI.

hi! I will be more than glad to assist u in this concern. I encounter that problem as well. I have a dlink as well. I follow the cd installation and it wont detect the modem or internet. but if the computer is connected to the modem it works..what i did. i didnt follow the cd installation, I set it up manual by typing at the url of your brower, 192.168.0.1 that is the ip add of the router and it will ask the username and password, by default the username is admin and the password, just leave it blank..in the setup page, select on manual internet connection setup.. there is an option for dhcp-which is auto detect, static ip or pppoe. but first check what kind of setting u have with ur isp, if u are using a username and password, u have to select the pppoe, if the isp provide gave u a static ip address u have to select static.. to know your ip address settings, click start, run and type cmd and it will show dos prompt, from there type ipconfig/all, it will list the ip address, subnetmask, default gateway, dns server.. I hope this will solve ur concern..

There is a reset button in the back, small pin hole, hold it in for 10 seconds.

This will restore it to when it was new so you will have to reset all your settings.

The user will be- admin and the password -linksys

or check your manual if these don't work.
