I have the Sony kp53v75 and the volume is not working. Is this expensive to fix?

The volume control and the volume knob are broken and worn out and will need to be replaced.

Volume is controlled by the main board. You can get a new one from here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy and fix it yourself. It's easy.

If there is a menu button the TV then you probably can. Try shopjimmy'd web page to see if they have a factory remote.

Rings mistakenly get tampered---nothing to do with focus--there are no "factory" settings for the rings on the lenses--they are focus--good luck as if have not done that before will need some help---

To upgrade the firmware,you need to download the firmware from here: http://support.sony-europe.com/dna/downloads/firmware/firmware.aspx?site=odw_en_GB&m=NWZ-B135&f=FRM_NWZ_B13x_f after downloading,run it and then connect the player to system while holding the "volume -" button...it should be detected and the firmware would be restored.

it is a convergence problem u may have 2 replace conv ic's and some resistors

go to this site and leave them an email along with what youre needing they have hundreds of used mirrors that they dont list they will contact you within minutes letting you know what they have available. Heres the link.

The main board in the base is bad, I was never able to pinpoint the bad component after changing a few circuit board parts.

I only saw this problem in the 2730.

The only fix I found while at the Sony Service Center was to replace the board.

Radio Shack sells a remote ringer.... You could hook that to the phone line and it would ring... Not the best fix but it would help... Even another phone in another room...

Sorry.... This problem frustrated me.... Wanted to find the fix... The board is expensive if avaliable....

you do NOT need to buy the original remote!! press the setup button on the front of the tv, then you will see a menu and you want to select auto set up by pressing the volume minus button and then the tv will automatically start to scan for channels and pip will be gone! Pain in the booty but save you from buying original remote!!

Volume is too low on my old Sony Trinitron KV-27S45 Can i fix it with out parts? no as it requires tech help as tv is high voltage device. would it be less expensive to just purchase a new tv? it would be less expensive. no need to purchase new tv. please get check 1 speaker paper cone might be hard or defective 2 loose contact in sound section 3 supply to sound might be absent. 4 connector loose. 5 any capscitor defective in sound section. 6 ic might be defective in sound section hope this will help.
