It differs from product to product

I would sujjest first  you choose a product for a base station installation and commisioning and then read their manual

This way you can learn

there will be various type of problem , probably there will be link problem, problem in line-of-sight, if link side that is BSC side have any type of problem in IDU of Base side then Base side might have serious problem occurred. specify your problem, what type of problem you faced , then i can try give solution.
