Hi friend , make sure you have install the proper driver of it, if you don't have the driver or you don't know what is the exact driver, then my suggestion is you can install windows 7 operating system then i am sure it will work, or you can check it out by connecting a different computer where windows 7 is installed. make sure the usb port is working fine also.

SOURCE: HP Pavilion tx 1000 Won't Start-Up

I HAVE THE SOLUTION TO ALL THE START UP MOMENTARILY PROBLEMS YOU TURN IT ON FAN RUNS LIGHTS ON FOR A SEC THEN SHUTS DOWN. ITS THE NVDIA CHIP.

IT MAY SOUND DUMB BUT IT WORKED FOR ME OK

GRAB THE RIGHT PALM OF YOUR HAND AND PUT ALL THE PRESSURE ON THE AREA SURROUNDING THE ENTER BUTTON AND PUSH DOWN AND TURN IT ON. IF IT DIDN'T WORK THE FIRST TIME PUT MORE PRESSURE ON THE ENTER BUTTON NOT TOO MUCH TO BREAK IT BUT JUST ENOUGHT AND TURN IT ON. AND UR DONE IT SHOULD BE ON!!!

SOURCE: my acer 5532 touchpad has suddenly stopped

Thanks. The Fn F7 idea did not work, the Enable/Disable toggle in Control Panel made no difference BUT the simple pressing of the TINY finger pointing next to the power button DID work. Duh!

Just google Acer, they should be able to help. Here's the URL for the uk support site:-

http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/support

Failing that, PC world, Curry's, Comet and/or Staples may be able to supply a replacement.

Welcome to FixYa!

Here's a quick checklist to resolve your wireless mouse connection.

Solution 1.
1. If the underside of the mouse has an on/off switch, make sure to set the switch to the "On" position.
2. Make sure that the battery of the wireless mouse is placed correctly and is not drained.
3. After checking the first two steps, the optical lens on the underside of your wireless mouse should be flashing once in a while. If not, there is something wrong with the battery, the wireless mouse switch, or the wireless mouse itself is defective.
4. Connect the USB dongle in the USB port and let it install automatically.

Solution 2.
5. Connect the USB dongle in another USB port and let it install automatically.

Solution 3.
6. Restart the computer with the wireless mouse turned on and the USB dongle inserted in the computer.

Solution 4.
7. Download and install the drivers from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&softwareitem=ob-47909-1

I hope that this will help.

Wireless keyboard & mouse will not connect

Then your problem is most likely driver-related. The chances are nill that both mouse AND keyboard are defective. Looks like it is down to one of two scenarios. Either the driver is incorrect or corrupt, or the dongle itself is malfunctioning. The driver would be first choice since it would be a free fix to rule out.

try uninstalling the driver first, then reboot. Next go to mfg website for the keyboard/mouse/dongle and download a fresh driver. Then reboot. Note that preferably, the correct protocol would be to install the driver first, before plugging in the dongle. Hope this helps. One question I can think of regarding the dongle is whether or not the dongle lights up when plugged in - some do. If yours is supposed to but does not, it could be the dongle itself. The bottom line now is between the dongle and a driver really. I'd be willing to bet the mouse and keyboard are just fine they just can't interface because the dongle is the gateway and you know the rest...good luck.

you might have to review the driver version of your wireless. try to check if there are updates that might fixed the bug. go to my computer, right click, manage, device manager, network adapters - under it move your mouse on top of the wireless, right click, properties, driver and check driver version and date. then go to your hp pavilion product support http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=432999&taskId=135
and look for new version of network wireless driver might have. let me know if this doesnt fix the problem.
