Channel locked Hello, I had the cable guy come out and connect my cable. He ended up locking my television and I am not able to unlock it, nor do I have a remote (my dog ate it) and the manual is packed away in another city. Can you please help me unlock the t.v. Thank you

To unlock the Clearview box, you will need to locate the remote control for the box. Look for a button or key labeled "Lock" or "Parental Control" and press it to disable the lock. If you are unable to find the remote control, check the box itself for a physical lock switch or button.
Once the box is unlocked, you should be able to access the EWTN channel and get both picture and sound. If you are still having issues with the picture, make sure that the television is on the correct input or channel for the Clearview box. You may also want to check the cable connections between the box and the television to ensure they are secure.

How to lock or unlock channelsTo lock or unlock channels:

1. Press the Menu button on your remote control.
2. Select Settings.


3. Highlight System and press OK/Select.
4. Select Parental/Purchase.
5. Enter your Parental Controls PIN.
6. Select Parental Preferences.

To lock or unlock all channels:
Select Lock All or Unlock All and press OK.

To lock or unlock specific channels:
Select Block by Channel > Add or Remove Channels.
From there you can select to Lock All, Unlock All, or
select specific channel(s) that you'd like to lock or unlock.

To unloxk your Jensen TV do the following.

1. Turn on the TV using the remote control. In most cases, you will need the original Jensen remote to unlock the TV if you aren't sure of the unlock code. You can purchase an original replacement online if necessary.

2. Look at the screen. If you see a red key on the bottom of the screen, press "Function" and "Mute" on the remote at the same time. This will unlock the channel. Do this if you want to bypass the lock to watch a certain show or channel while leaving the TV locked. All other channels will remain locked and the TV will lock again when it is turned off.

3. Unlock all of the channels on the TV by entering 0711 or 3308. These are the Jensen factory reset codes that will reset the TV to the original factory settings. By doing this, you will loose any information that you have stored in the TV, such as channel labels and schedules. You will have to program the TV again by going through the entire initial set up.

4. Call the technical support service number in your owner's manual if neither of those codes work. A technician can help you troubleshoot the television as the problem may not be the parental lock feature. Have the model number and serial number of the TV available when you call.
5. Take your television to a TV repair shop if neither of the codes work and the TV locked by itself while it was turned on. In this case, the TV may need to be rewired

Check first your set top box's, or TVs antenna or ariel connection is tight or not. It it is Ok, if you are receiving signals from cable, ask the cable operator to check the signal strength at the cable end of your home. It is measure with a 'db' meter. If the strength of the received signal is very weak, the same channels should not mamorized, and strong signal channels only will lock in. If you are using external antena, try to reorient its postion.
Anyway your TV doesn't get sufficient signal strength.

Yep! I agree - your tuner on the TV is not made for Digital reception.
You will still need to use the Verison Cable box to view any channels.

The newer TV's have the digital Tuners built in. Note: Plasma's are faster locking on to channels than LCD's.

hello Lock/Unlock Parental Controls
Selecting this option lets you lock and unlock parental controls settings
using a password.
If you do not lock parental controls, none of the settings for V-Chip,
Channel Block, or Front Panel Block will take effect.
If you forget your password, press the MENU button, then select Parental
Control (the password entry screen appears). Simultaneously press and
hold CH+ and VOL+ on the front panel for 8 seconds. Parental Controls
unlock and the Parental Control menu appears. You can enter a new
password by locking the Parental Controls again.
Front Panel Block
Selecting this option lets you block (disable) or unblock (enable) the TV’s
front panel. The remote still tunes to any channel. When using this as a
Parental Control method, remove access to any remote that is capable of
operating the television while you have the front panel blocked.
Don’t forget to lock parental controls after you change the status. If you
don’t, the front panel block will not take effect .if this don't work get back to me i've got manual good luck

is it a cable channel that is locked or a normal TV channel ??

if its the cable channel, you can always call your cable company and have them give you the unlocked code...

if its the TV channel... what make/model is your TV ?

The Digital Channels are Blocked and Some of the Annalog Channels are Blocked that you can't access some channels and how do you unblock the channels by getting rid of the Code for Parental control?How Do you get rid of the Parental Code to acess all Channels .
