First check the inverter for any burst capacitors and the display boards.

X-box Sounds like it could be a bad inverter board, Toshiba p/n#72001911 and they cost about $35 plus shipping... This is a common failure with this model causing anything from intermittent shutdown to simple loss of video. Get it in the shop and have them check it out. Might also take the part number with you so they don't have to research it... Good Luck Bill

Yep! I agree - your tuner on the TV is not made for Digital reception.
You will still need to use the Verison Cable box to view any channels.

The newer TV's have the digital Tuners built in. Note: Plasma's are faster locking on to channels than LCD's.

First off! Is it still under warranty?
If not my thoughts is either one of two things,
1) a bad or problematic power supply
2) the lamp ballest 'florecent tubes' for back lighting is going bad or bad.

First try seeing if your dvd has a options button on the remote.If it does you may be able to find the specific choice that lets you reset it.Otherwise try turning on your dvd and having it run without a disk in it.A dvd menu itself might show up and give you options.

my brother greeting from belize lift the eeprom from out of the set and and resolder it back, it will have reset it self good luck.

Have you unplugged the unit for at least 15 minutes yet?

The cover on the back of the tv has to be removed. Facing the back of the tv at the bottom of the cover on the sides are Arrows, press in on these arrows and pull towards you.
The cover should hinge from the top and come off.
The power adaptor plugs into the bottom hole below the inputs.

If it's less than a month old, you shouldn't have taken off the back. I subjest taking it back to where you bought it from and get it exchanged or get a refund.

I had the same problem with mine and I finally figured out it was the power supply. I ordered a new generic replacement and I have'nt had a problem since other than a few noise lines in the lower channels and that might be because I didn't buy a Toshiba replacement which may have a filter in it. It has not shut off now for over a year.
