Probably you had cause the wire to ground out the set.causing the short out to damage the power supply take your set to a tech to check it.and possibly to repair.good luck.

Ground unit also to most closest suitable location!

I have an AudioBahn A4004T Amp. It was working fine and then I had it sitting in my house for a few months. My cousin wants to use it in his car so he hooked the power cables up to his battery to see if it...

If you only hooked up the power and ground the amp will not turn on. You must also hook up the remote wire. This either can come from your radio, your fuses, or your power wire itself. If you hook it up to your radio then it will turn on when the radio is turned on. If your radio doesn't have a remote wire to amp then you can read your owners manual and hook it up to the radio fuse and when the radio turns on the amp will turn on. An lastly you can run a wore from your power wire to your remote plug in. But if you do this the nano will constantly be on if it is hooked up to the battery.

My power acoustic BAMF 2200 amp wont power subs

Check all of your connections, make sure your RCAs are hooked up correctly, and aren't pinched anywhere, make sure your subs are hooked up right, and making good contact, if the amp turns on and doesn't go into protect mode it should be alright. If you can't get it going, take it to an audio shop and have them test it...

Smoking

Gee I would think that it is kind of obvious; your amp is blown. Just because it doesn't blow fuses doesn't mean much. If you hook the power up to the ground input and the ground to the power and then turn it on you pretty much toasted the amplifier. If you don't know why the amp is smoking, but you're trying to fix it yourself, you are basically telling me that you have no business doing so. I have been an installer for 15 years and even I am not dumb enough to try to fix a bad amplifier. Do everyone a REALLY big favor; stop messing around with something that you don't understand of have knowledge about before you hurt yourself.

No power to my legacy 600 watt car amp

Hmm...ive had this problem before and its always been either the remote wire, the rca cables or the ground. i would try hooking up the remote wire strait to the battery, if that doesnt work try to find a better place for the ground. maybe where your trunk latches. if that still doesnt work then i would try new rca cables.

Red light

It sounds like the output transistors have failed. Disconnect everything from the amp except for the B+, ground and remote and turn the amp on. If it goes into protect, the amp is in need of repair. If you want to repair it yourself, email power acoustic for the schematic.

Amp not turning on

wouldn't be the first JL amp I saw fried...but there are some tests you can do. First of all, double check your fuses, they may appear to be fine, but sometimes they are blown even if you can't see it. Either blindly change them or test them for continuity with a digital multimeter. Also, disconnect the remote turnon and jump power directly over from the power wire to the remote terminal on the amp, if the amp powers on then you have to go double check your remote wire. Hope this helps.
