Wont light up but seem to charge

Seems like the battery is disconnected! That is why it turns off when mains power is removed!

When you say it works when plugged in, do you mean the red light comes on? It should automaticaly turn off while charging. If you mean the red light works while charging but the earpiece seems like it consistantly has a dead battery, the battery may need replacing. It's not hard to replace. Check youtube to see how.

may need charge,most wont work if low.go to wal-mart get the right freeon.it will tell u how to use

Had same problem with blinking lights and not charging.
Plug charger base in (blinking lights), remove controllers, and plug USB cable into front charge slot (behind hinged panel). This reset charger base and lights stopped blinking. As FYI - the USB was connected to other device (charging it). Add the controllers and correct charging lights show up - including the controller 1 and 2 symbols. Controllers now charging.

The output from most computer USB sockets is insufficient to charge any camera, but replacement wall plugs are easily obtained.

This only mean that you have a failing battery and does not hold charge anymore.. battery life can last upto 2years, depending on how frquent you use..

hey , well i think an hour might be normal , mine seems to only last as long , but it says in the manuel that when the camera is not in use to disconnect the battery because even with the power off it still discharges.
