SOURCE: mail attachment dropped

Check if you have configured Application Firewall on your box.
Also, check if the Gateway Anti-virus settings on SMTP is configured properly.

How do I attach photos to yahoo mail?

First, the photo must be saved as a file you can open on your computer.

Next, open your Yahoo mail account and click Compose. When the new email screen opens, type in the recipients and a subject just like any other new email you want to send. At the bottom of the screen [next to the Send button] click on the paperclip icon. Then browse to the file you want to attach & click open.

After the file becomes attached, click Send.

I recently switched to Yahoo but I cannot seem to attach any pictures.. hat am I doing wrong?

Share photos through the Internet the same way you would share other news - in a Yahoo! email message.
Yahoo! Mail may be your go-to choice for text emails, but the free email program also offers the ability to attach photos with your messages.
There's no additional charge to send photos with Yahoo!, though the more photos you attach, the more time it may take for your email to get to the recipient.

Log in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
Click the "New" button. If prompted, click "New Email Message."

Enter the recipient's name into the "To" field, or click the "To" link and select the name from your Contacts folder.
Enter a subject line and type a message into the body section of the email window.
Click the "Attach Files" button.
Click the "Browse" button to the right of "File 1."
Go to the first picture to include and double-click it.
This lists the file path in the "File 1" box.

Click the "Browse" button for "File 2" and repeat the process.
To attach more than five pictures, click the "Attach More Files" link.

Click the "Attach Files" button.
Depending upon your computer's speed and the files' size, it may take a few seconds to a few minutes to complete the attachment process.

Click the "Send" button to send the photos.

Scan page > send to my email account > email scanned page?

Follow these steps :
•1
Place your scanned messages in an easy-to-find folder or on your desktop so that you can quickly locate the files to send them.
•2
Launch your e-mail application, such as Yahoo! or Gmail, and create a new message. Enter the recipient's address in the "To:" field and type in your note in the body of the e-mail message.
•3
Click the "attach" link or button in your open message to append the photos and scanned messages to the e-mail. This action causes a box to automatically appear, which allows you to locate and select your desired photos and messages. Once you've selected the file you would like to attach, click a button like "Done" to complete the link between your files and the e-mail. Alternately, some mail applications, such as Mac OSX mail, allow you to click and drag the files to the body of the message to create the attachment. If you need further instruction on creating an attachment, see your e-mail provider's "Help" or "FAQ" page for guidance.

Click the "Send" button in your e-mail message to send your photos and scanned messages. The e-mail may take longer than normal to complete the delivery process, depending on the number and size of the files that you are sending.

I can't attach photos etc to my emails. This has happened quite suddently. I can chose a photo for example and ''attach'' it but it does not attach.

This usually happens when you reach the capacity of your mail storage. Chances are that you will have to free up storage on your mail account before you can attach large files like photos.
Which email program/service are you using?
