Drive wont power up or down

Hi,

Please try charging your device from a different power outlet if it's not turning on. Please double check that you're operating the device in the correct temperature's as well.

If the previous information does not allow the device to turn on again, please attempt to hold down the power button for 10 seconds before releasing to attempt to get the power back on. Thank you.

Have any modifications been made to drain? If drain hose is too low or too far down in pipe or installed airtight, it can act as a siphon draining as fast as it fills.

Hi Regin, I used to have a WD drive and one day I started having all sorts of formatting issues. The WD was very sensitive and then a week or so later, it started making clicking noises, and then a day later it died.
I returned it and got a new WD but in less than 8 months, I lost all my data again! I never bothered asking WD for a new one, and used it as a door stopper for a year or more! Eventually, I threw it away about a year ago.
I recently read that someone whose WD drive crashed threw it in the freezer and left it there for a couple days and then it was fine!!! I am telling you the truth, i read that here on FixYa!
In any case, be care, be tender. Dont think that just because you have a back up drive that you are protected! My experience suggests that there is something wrong with a number of WD drives! We should all get our money bacK!
I would use another kind of back up system, personally.

Yea I agree with those technicians your netbooks battery is the problem I would recommend testing your device on another same battery !

clean the laser using a lazer disc cleaner not only does the disck get dirty but the lazer too when its too dirty it wont read the disc -- disc error

Ah the red ring of death!!!! Ihope you bought insurance with it cause it has to be sent back in.your hard drive is bad.

If you know how to open it up and get to the power supply you will find three capacitors 2-820uf and 1-330 @ 25vdc 105o.they will have puffed up tops replace them. FYI the monitor has a 3 year warranty.

Try rebooting your computer. I have a similar desktop and sometimes after a period of use the drive seems to power down - if I shut down and start up again it seems to work again.

If this doesn't solve the problem, check the connections inside the computer to make sure the drive has the data cable and power cable connected securely.

If you bought the Inspiron 3 days ago, contact Dell for warranty service and a replacement. If you just bought the drive itself 3 days ago, take it back or return it to the retailer you bought it from for a replacement.

Very good in checking if your computers' USB ports are working. Now that you know that your computer's USB ports are working, try your USB device on his computer and check if it'll work there. If it also doesn't work there, then it'll be your USB device that's not being read.
