Your wifi settings are wrong . it must match what the router demands. wep/wpa./wpa2 and pass phrase.

or

the unstated OS drivers on your PC are corrupted.
is this XP or VISTA the 2 dead OS? with very hard drivers to find./?

SOURCE: HP Pavilion dv4000- Can't connect to wireless internet

Is your chipset wireless network program taking over?
Often an internal system program will take priority when connecting to wireless networks.
Think of it like siblings who squabble over attention.

If you can find any other programs which are acting in this manner, I'd suggest telling them "do not use this when connecting" and then see if you can then use your main program.

Also - is your network secured and / or hidden? Did you reset your router? Sometimes this helps, too. =D

SOURCE: HP Pavilion dv9700 laptop, Wireless stops working at random.

It is because your wi fi network adapter not getting ip addresses from router.
For that connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then access it with following link.
http://192.168.1.1
or
http://192.168.0.1

type user name as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"

then go to advaced and enable DHCP .
Then save and restart router.

Then go to your laptop go to my etwork places proeprty then right click on your wi fi adapter then proeprty then tcp ip and set ip get automatic.
Then it works fine.
Let me know if you need more assistanse.
Thanks.

SOURCE: HP Pavilion dv6700 has system failure when connecting to TV

Try updating ALL Video Card & HDMI Drivers from manufacturers web site, that will probably be the best chance at a fix, this is a driver issue. Connect up this way... Start TV... plug in Cable to TV & PC, now, startup PC.

Hp pavilion dv6 won't connect to broadband but is connecting wireless

Wifi is broadband. Look in network properties and make sure only one network adapter is available. Microsoft systems seem to have trouble getting online when more than one is on. Disable the wifi and see if it changes. You may have to restart to allow the router to give it an ip address.

I have a hp Pavilion running mac os x snow leopard and i am trying so connect to wifi network and saying no air port found can any one help and help me fix this.

Hi there,
Try contacting HP and check if there's a driver available for the wireless card compatible with Mac OS X. The reason why it's saying it cannot find any airport is because it does not detect the wireless card being installed because there is no driver working.
Hope this helps!

How do i connect to the internet with out dail up on hp pavilion ze440?

Need to find a 'hot spot' that has free 'Wifi' internet like at a library or coffee shop or restaurant. Then, need to enable the 'Wifi' on the notebook either by a Fn Button or a switch which has an icon for Wifi enabling.

Then, need to search for open networks to connect to.

Then, open up Internet Explorer or your browser to get on the Internet.

Pavilion wont stay connected to internet through linksys router

without looking at laptops myself, if it's not a problem where somehow a connection got loose or built up dust and debris, then it could be a hardware issue where the pavilion wifi isn't as good as the vaio's. The same thing happens to me on my hp pavilion dv2000.
