I have no power or power lights on my laptop, with a.c. Adaptor plugged in, with or without a battery.

if you want to be daring, take the CPU Chip, the largest one on the board out, and reseat it. this has to be done carefully, as to not break any of the pins. When you put the chip back in, pull the little lever up that the mount holds down, this will allow the chip to slide into the holder once it is in, gently push the lever back down, put be mindful of the amount of force that you use, then reattach everything, and keep your fingers crossed

The adapter might be faulty
Check the adapter with multi-meter, the voltage reading should be slightly higher than the voltage output that is printed on the label on the adapter.
