Hi, defending on your cpu board usualy there are two slots, also if your board capable to 1 gigabytes memory, if your memory is DDR u can add 1 GB up . if your memory is SD you cannot add higher than 712 MB. if your memory is 512 and you want to add 1GB the total should be 1.5 you are correct in your calculation. thanks

Go to Windows.com and look for Spanish language. It may still be available as an update on the Windows Update site. I am not sure how succesfully running two languages on one OS will be, you may have to set it up in Spanish alone.

If you are using 2 different types of ram (from different mfg.,same brand may not work if made to diff specs) it will not work.

Do any lights come on at all? If it seems to come on but does not render a picture this is most likely a memory issue. Also, to your knowledge has the system been dropped, opened up, hardware added, or anything of that nature? Do the power lights come up when you plug in the power adapter to show the battery is charging? Have you tried booting up without the battery and just the power adapter plugged in?

first, remove any external device as well as the ac adapter and the battery. while the ac adapter and battery is out, press and hold the power button for about 15seconds. then reconnect any power source and turn on the system. if it still doesnt turn on, remove memory, expansion cards, hard drive and optical drive then turn on the system. if it's still not turning on, the motherboard is faulty. but if it do turned on, reconnect the removed components one by one so you will determine which component is causing the issue. hope it'll help. good day. =)

You may want to borrow an a/c power source for you laptop... just to check to see if yours is non functional.
If the a/c isn't charging the batt, then no matter what config, it won't charge... seems like this may be your problem
The icon may be sensing a connection even if there's no power...not sure... make sure the connector isn't distorted...

It's supposed to be FN + F2, that would be a special [Function] key held down while tapping the [F2] key. But you probably knew that.

Ummm if it won't turn on that way, perhaps the driver got messed up. And you should download it and re-install it.

If you are out of warranty, and technically and mechanically adept, you may want to try and re-seat the wireless module in the laptop. I didn't say it would be easy to get to. And as the Myth Busters say - you shouldn't try this at home. If you're not confortable with that level of work - it's best to take it to a shop.

Of course as a worse-case-scenario option - you could purchase an after market wireless card and use that.
