Dxdiag.exe is not a worthy program to give you information about your computer system. PC Wizard will do the job better. from here -> http://pc-wizard.en.softonic.com/ It's the best price around (free), and gives you an accurate display of your total system. From that information, you can then get the right drivers needed to operate your computer properly. It even has benchmarking tools for the overclockers out there ;) Hope that helps. Cheers from NZ
You can download the device drivers for your computer from the motherboard manufacturer's WEB site. I cannot give you the link to the motherboard manufacturer's WEB site because youhave not provided me with the details of the make and model of your motherboard.
Kanwa -- Must say not an easy one to find. That's a pretty old generic motherboard. That motherboard has a Realtek sound controller (Your board needs the Realtek AC'97 drivers for your particular operating system).
If you use Vista or Windows 7 you should download the Realtek AC'97 Driver for Windows Vista / Windows 7) 6.0.1.6305.
For Windows XP download the Realtek AC97 Driver for Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/2003 A4.06.
If one of these doesn't work then remove the driver and install VIA Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver 7.0b
It's better that you will know what is the brand of your motherboard. You need to visit their site, then search the model of your motherboard. After you have search the model you can download the sound driver.
Or you may go to this site: "www.howtodrivers.com" search the model or brand of your unit.
find the system manufacturer and system model of your laptop by typing in your dos command. Click start menu, run command prompt, and then type dxdiag. Under System Tab, you can find the system manufacturer and the system model. You can now go to google for finding your driver for your laptop. I hope this will help you.
