Hi,
When doing the button hole....after installing the button hole foot and lowering the foot....and adding the button so the automatic button hole size is determined...you lower the button hole lever it will touch the back of the button hole foot. this holds the button hole foot in the proper position...if this lever is not all the way down...the machine blips at you...check to see that it is down all the way...I hope this helps you..It truly does all that it advertises and is a great machine...BBill01
P.S. you can adjust width and length of the stich also...see instruction manual. pg 28-30

My Juki HZL-E80 won't turn on

no, the light bulb won't cause the machine not to work, check the
power cord to see if it's plugged into the machine correctly, if it is
then the machine needs to be checked to see if it's the power
cord or the on off switch or the machine it's self

How do i stop juki ddl from top skipping stitches?

Hi. Skipped stitches are usually caused by a mismatch in your thread and needle. Wrong thread type, wrong needle size, or even old thread can cause skipped stitches. If all else fails, change the needle. If that doesn't work, clean the machine. Sometimes just getting rid of all the lint and giving her a good oiling does a world of good.

Let me know if this works.

I need to know how and where to oil my juki HZL-E80 sewing machine

your machine is not a self oiling machine, you should put the oil on the needle bar, and to the bobbin.

Double needle use on Juki HZL-E80

if the machine regular needle threads front to back NOT side to side, you can use a double needle. simply pass both threads thru all the same slots (thread one at a time so they don't get twisted up) then just before the needles, leave one out of the thread guide just above the needle. you may have to loosen the top tension SLIGHTLY, like a half number. and do NOT use a zig zag stitch without first hand cranking it thru the cycle to be sure the needles clear, or you'll make a 5.00 mistake (the cost of the double needles!)

Thread continues to jam

Hi, my wife and I just bought a Juki HZL-E80... I love the machine. I had a problem like you discribe...This problem can come from two sources...one the bobin has been installed improperly. ...or been wound incorrectly by not haveing adjusted the Bobbin tension ...I did the tension adjustment with the screwdriver supplied with the machine accessories. Also...this is a biggie...the auto matic needle threader works great...but I discovered that when I preformed this function..that I over looked the thread holder that keeps the thread even with the needle....so, the solution is to thread the needle then be sure to check that the thread coming down from the spool is placed behind the little wire holder above the needle...I hope this helps you ...because it is a wonderful machine.....Bill & Donna Bramble...Caldwell Idaho...

Hole width

After putting on the buttonhole foot, you lower the foot, put in the size button you want into the button hole foot. Lower the button hole lever all the way (so machine does not blip) Then the machine automatically sets the length and width of the button hole...you can adjust the length and width manually by pushing the button on the top right hand part of the machine above the LED screen the top one is stich length the other is stich width....if you put the levers to the left it will be the smallest stich length or width...if to the right it will be the largest stich length or width the machine allows. But, really the machine automatically does this for you...so I don't see the need to do it.....but you can....BBill01
