Frigidaire stove model gles388dsb

I have a frigidaire gallery series electric stove.Today after we self clean the oven,when the oven door locking mechemism tried to unlock the door the stove main circuit breaker nblew down and when I reset the breakers they held on.The oven door locking mechesem rotated all the time now. I tried to remove the fron control pannel but couldn't get it loose after i removed the 4 screws above the oven door

Sounds as if there is a problem with the latch assy, there are 2 switches mounted on the latch mechanism for monitoring positon of hte switches, seems as if one has gone bad, not recognizing the door lock positon therfore continues to rotate without stop.part number for the motor latch assy w/switch and bracket 318095957 . located behind rear panel

Self cleaning mode towards the end of its cycle went into a failure code cleared it by flipping breaker. Now when I run bake/convection it runs broil at 600. Lower oven now run under temp.

How do i unlock door on frigidaire stove

You can perform a reset on your appliance which can be done by disconnecting power from your appliance for roughly ten minutes. If your control panel has a cancel button hold that down and that should release the door. If tripping and turning the circuit breaker off for about 10 minutes does not work, contact Frigidaire. Sounds like the control board and/or door switch will need replacing.
