Refrigerator door fell off

I have a problem my refrigerator door falls off when opened. I had problems with air gap along top of refrig door so i switched the hinges to the other side of the door and voila it was fixed for a year now the door is falling off. I felt the bottom peg and it seems to be moving up and down creating space for it to slide off the hinge. I believe my children hanging on the door has led to this problem. I dont care for the frig got it on clearance. Should I replace frig or replace parts and how?

SOURCE: Refrig door gasket does not prevent gap when door is closed

Lift up the gasket and look for screws securing the gasket to the door.
Loosen all of these screws a few turns and twist the door in the direction needed to seal.
Hold the door in this position as you tighten the screws.
This can be tricky and sometimes requires multiple efforts.

Vegetables in crisper are frozen, as well as liquids in bottom 1/2 of fridge door. The fridge & freezer temp controls won't adjust to our settings. Also, we're getting ice, but no water will dispense.

The freezer cools the refrigerator, so you actually get very cold air passing from the freezer to the refrig. The air from the freezer enters the refrig on the top and falls to the bottom where it is drawn back into the freezer. The temperature of the refrig is regulated by a thermostat and a fan that runs when the thermostat calls for cooling. If the refrig thermostat is faulty and causes the fan to run more than it should, there will be a freezing problem in the refrig at the bottom because cold air falls and warm air rises. If the refrig is thermostat is calling for cooling constantly, this will take more cold air from the freezer than is normal. Your freezer temp might be higher than normal and the refrig will be colder then desired. If the fan from the freezer is running constantly I would suspect a bad refrig thermostat.

Freezer door pops open about 1/8" when you shut refrig door

this is very normal this means that you have an extremly good seal .. causing air to push threw duct work when closing door .... try changing the levelnes of refrigerator so when door does pop open it falls back closed meaning tilt fridge front higher than back of fridge

Bottom freezer seem to be fine top refrig.is warm?

couple things to start off with is make sure the fan from freezer section is still blowing...may have to with door open hold down door switch as they sometimes stop running when you open door...if the fan is still running, then is the back wall of freezer frosted up you could have a defrost problem a defrost thermostat, or a heater issue... last make sure you have a clear passage from the freezer to the refrig such as the airflow gap or damper assembly which will be either a manually damper or a automatic damper//this is the flap that opens and closes usually by temperature to let air from freezer to refrigerator side....also make sure the unit all together is running properly the freezer is the last part to give you a problem as this is where the coolant actually starts then is pushed into refrigerator....few things for you to check repost if you have anymore questions....good luck

The freezer is freezing but the refrigerator is not getting cold why?

check the damper door vent located between the refrige and freezer for being iced up and stuck shut,if cold air from freezer can't get past thid door the refrige will warm up,if this isnt the problem, adjust the refrige temp control and watch and see if this makes this door open and close as you adjust the temp of the refrige compartment

Why does my freezer door open when I shut the refrigerator door

There is air flow between the two sections, and when the door is closed, the rush of air needs to go somewhere. If your refrig is tilted slightly to the back, so the doors will close by themselves, this should not be a problem.

Our side by side freezer door opens slightly

That is a common occurrance for side by side refrigerators. Closing the fresh food door is like having your car windows closed and closing the door. You can feel the air pressure on your ears. In the refrigerator, the air passes through the duct and into the freezer pushing the door open. The magnet on the door gasket should keep it closed. But it may be the freezer door needs the hinges adjusted to the door seats better when closed. Take the plastic cover off the top hinge and you can loosen the screws (don't take them out) and adjust the door slightly (so it looks even between both doors) and tighten the screws up. The top of the door should be level with the top of the unit, and the gap between the doors even the whole way down.

I have a profile refrigerator PDS20SCPARSS, SN TF047061. If youopen the door alot ( 4 kids) te refrigerator temp goes all the way to 60deg and the freezer goes to -30. If you don't open the door at all the...

If this is struggling to maintain temperature like this, either the system is low on gas (motor running all the time) or the fan has stopped which you should be able to hear. Make sure that the fan is not just jammed.also check the return air vent in the fridge as if this gets stuck with a spillage ie O.J. etc, the fridge cannot get air from the freezer and the freezer runs continually (-30) but the thermostat never cuts out in the fridge. Last idea most likely.

Whirlpool Model ED5SHAXML12 is freezing food in refrigerator even when dial is at off. Happened from one day to the next.

At the refrig controls , the freezer control , controls how much air goes into the refrigerator section . Open the refrig door , and up at the top left , put your hand over the damper (air vent) . Turn the freezer control from high to low , and feel the difference in the air flow . If you turn your freezer control to a lower setting , less cold air will enter the refrig . Think of it as : the freezer control adjusts the temperature , and the refrig control , tells how long to run the compressor . In actuality , this is how it works . However , with the dial (refrigerator thermostat) in the off position and refrig still running , this indicates a bad thermostat . Pt # 2198202 .
