I can not get the headset to turn on.

When I plug it in, the blue light flashes briefly then turns off. I've tried holding down the on button, both the on and volume up buttons, etc. I simply cannot get the blue light to stay on (device on). The user manual doesn't have any information about this. Any suggestions?

If I read everything correctly in the manual I believe the light only stays on when the device is in the pairing mode. If the light flashes every second, the headset is on a call, if the light flashed every three seconds, it is in standby mode.
Standby mode: is when the Jabra BT160 is passively waiting for a call. When you 'end' a call on your mobile phone, the headset goes into standby mode.

Make sure your phone is bluetooth equipped.

You must first successfully pair the headset with your phone. The manual shows you how.....
1. Put the headset in pairing mode Make sure that the headset is on. Press the answer/end button and press the volume up (+) button at the same time, until a solid blue light comes on.
2. Set your Bluetooth phone to 'discover' the Jabra BT160 Follow your phone's instruction guide. This usually involves going to a 'setup,' 'connect' or 'Bluetooth' menu on your phone and selecting the option to 'discover' or 'add' a Bluetooth device.
3. Your phone will find the Jabra BT160 Your phone then asks if you want to pair with it. Accept by pressing 'Yes' or 'OK' on the phone and confirm with the passkey or PIN3 = 0000 (4 zeros). Your phone will confirm when pairing is complete. In case of unsuccessful pairing, repeat steps 1 to 3.

Go here for a copy of the owners manual....

Hope this helps.....

SOURCE: trying to pair BT150 but it won't go into pairing mode

I had the same problem. The many instructions available don't have quite the right details. This worked for me:

1. Turn off the BT150 by holding down the answer button about 5 sec. until the blue light goes off and is not flashing.
2. Turn on the BT150 by holding down the answer button about 5 sec. until the blue light flashes.
3. Keep holding the answer button, and press and hold the volume + button for another 5 sec. until the blue light comes on solid.

SOURCE: BT150 not going into discoverable mode

First turn on the Jabra BT 150 by holding the power button for about 4 seconds. Then hold the + key and the the power button together for about 4 seconds and the power light will go steady. Then have your bluetooth capable cell phone search. It'll find it and when asked for a PIN just enter 0000. Tjis will change the jabra power light to blinking when paired successful.

Jabra gn9350 base lights are not coming on.

There are a number of steps you can try to fix this issue:
1. Confirm the power supply is plugged in correctly, and the power socket to which it is connected is turned on and receiving power.
2. Remove the battery from the GN9350 headset and ensure the copper contacts on the battery and the headset itself are clean - a quick blow on both parts will be OK. You remove the battery by taking off the earhook or headband, and sliding the speaker section down towards the microphone boom - it will unclick. Reconnect the battery after you've blown on the contacts and re-pair the device as per step 3.
3. Re-pair the headset to the base: ensure the headset is docked in the base. Locate the button with two grey arrows pointing towards each other which is located on the side of the circular base section. Hold this button down for approximately 5 seconds, until you see a blue light flash on the headset itself - you can release the button once the light flashes. The headset is now paired again.
4. If the lights are still not showing up you may have a faulty battery, or a faulty headset/base.

Plantronics m100

I don't know if you've done this, but before charging the headset, you want to turn it off. On the "Take A Good Look" page from the link below for the Plantronics M100 you'll see how to turn it off. If it's still not charging right, you may need to take it back to your retailer for warranty replacement or call Plantronics at 800-544-4660 x5 x5538 for warranty assistance.

How to link my blue tooth

Pairing the Plantronics Explorer 220:

For most phones, select Settings/Tools, Connections, Bluetooth, On. See your phone's user guide for more information.

With the 220 headset powered off, turn on the headset by pressing and holding the call control button for approximately 5 seconds until the LED flashes red & blue. The Explorer 220 headset is now in pairing mode. If you don't see the red/blue flash, press and hold the power button to turn your headset off, and then press and hold the power button again and hold for 5-6 seconds until you see the red & blue flash.

From your phone, go to the Bluetooth menu and select "Search" or "Add Device". Your phone should find the headset which will appear as "2xxPlantronics" in your list of devices.

If prompted for the Passkey (PIN code), enter 0000. If your phone asks for a PIN/passkey, enter 0000 (4 zeros). Pairing is successful when the LED on your headset flashes blue. Your headset is now connected and ready to use.

Connect to iPhone 4

Hold the "Answer/End" button on your Jabra Bluetooth headset down until the LED light on the headset turns solid blue. The location of the button may vary based on which headset you have, but its appearance will be the same; it is the button that has an image of a telephone on it.

Click on the "Settings" icon from the main screen of your iPhone 4 .

Click on "General" in your iPhone's "Settings" menu.

Click on "Bluetooth" to access your iPhone's Bluetooth menu and then click the option to turn on your iPhone's Bluetooth connection. Once your iPhone's Bluetooth is turned on, it will search for available Bluetooth devices.

Select your Jabra headset by clicking on the icon that appears on your iPhone's screen.

Enter the passkey for your Jabra Bluetooth headset. The default passkey on Jabra headsets is "0000."

Click on "OK" on your iPhone 4 to complete the connection to your Jabra headset.

Tips & Warnings

The LED light on your headset must be solid blue to pair to your iPhone. A flashing light indicates your headset is not yet in pairing mode and your iPhone will not be able to connect to the headset.

Having your iPhone 4 Bluetooth turned on will drain your phone battery faster than normal.
